None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
    There's a whale in it?
C'mon, man! How'd you get my ex crammed into your dash??
    :crazy::muscleflexing: :rofl:

Looks great, BTW. That's a really nice dash pad.
I have one similar on my 87 4Runner, only it's grey, matches the interior. It's over 30 years old, but for it's age, it's in good shape, really.

Wow! Not easy rotating the tires when one is healthy. Doing it with a hurt elbow is pretty impressive, truly it is. I'm impressed.

    Have fun, all!

Picked up my 4Runner from the mechanic. Had them do a once over when I bought it last week. They ended up keeping it until today. Needed a new oil pan gasket and or gasket, new valve cover gaskets, new brake fluid, both seals, oil change. Also got the smog done there for the reg. Then went to AAA to get it registered to me. Now it’s good to go and the build can start!

So rad. That’s the only dual swing I could find and I love it. Just wish it had a hitch receiver. But I’m sure that’s the one I’ll end up getting anyways. And pair it with the C4 rotopax/maxtrax mount.

You better pay now if you want it in a few months.

There's a long wait just to get one, as it's a small 2-man shop (brothers) that run it and make them.

I carry enough weight as it is, including 33" tires.

I wanted to limit the swing out to a jug for liquid (whether water or gas), and a single full-sized spare.

Yea I’m in no rush. I saw it’s a 17 week wait. I just picked up my 3rd gen so lift rims and tires are phase 1. Bumpers are later. Going for the dual swing out with the 33” spare, 2 rotopax , maxtrax. A2BF1DF8-E7FA-438F-8A77-A8BEF7DDF674.jpg

Rotopax are awkward to fill with; I'd write them off completely.

Just do like I did and buy everything in one go; was cool having boxes arrive every few days for weeks :anonymous:

I’ve used rotopax for a while and I’m fine with them. I do like the look of the dual jerry can holder though. The one for water would be rad. I’m still deciding.

Woke up early to beat the heat. Ended up washing polishing, waxing, and ceramic spraying the runner. Now I’m halfway through the interior.

Installed overland customs forged sway bar links. Had to cut the rears off because they were seized, fronts were very easy to install. Aside from having to go through the motions of trying to get one of the rears off, ruining a a blade, going to buy a carbide blade, it took me an hour of actual labor.

    I'm also new here. :)

Thanks! I'm running 285\75\16 but I'm rubbing (only In reverse). I'm going to KO2s in a couple months for winter and in think I'm going to try what you're running. Great rig!

    Thanks!

Personally, I'd stay away from KO2's unless you are set on them.

KO's were a great tire, but unfortunately, KO2's don't live up to the old reputation as far as traction and wear goes. Ton of people have issues with them (if you do any real wheeling).

If you want them for the 'look' then sure, go for it. But if you want a tire that performs well in all situations, Toyo AT3's and Cooper ST Maxx (what I have now) are at the top of my list.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W's not far behind the two I mentioned.

    Cooper's in snow?

Wow thanks for the information. We do minimal rock crawling for now but enjoy camping and overland activity. I will definitely look into the different tires.

I don't either, just some light trails, but it helps having a great tire for when I need it.

Keep in mind, tires for this size will run in the E range meaning, 10 ply.

Just do a chalk test when you get them to figure out the appropriate tire pressure and you'll be good to go.

Have you had any issues with shimmy/shake when hitting bumps on the street? I'm not sure exactly what my lift height is but I ordered an adjustable panhard bar because my rear axle is definitely out of alignment

Not at all, in fact I hit tons of bumps as I put in over 2,000 miles per month and part of my drive is going through some nasty potholes and roads up to Fresno.

I can let go of the wheel, hit potholes, and it stays true and straight.

I'm lifted just a hair over 2" and even though I haven't been running a front sway bar since last year, I do run a rear sway bar.

Reason being, the adjustable panhard bar did bring my axle back to where it should be, but without a relocation bracket, my panhard bar sits at an angle (not ideal). During articulation, the axle is supposed to pull one way more than the other. Having a rear sway bar in place helps alleviate that.

One of the passenger windows on my ‘97 was off the track apparently because my son couldn’t roll it down all the way. It would still show a couple inches of window. It got worse and then window completely fell into the bottom of the door. I took the panel off both sides to see how it should look like. By doing that on the good side, I saw the reason my speaker wasn’t working in that door. The wire wasn’t connected. So it was a kill 2 birds with 1 stone situation. I got the window back on but probably not 100% how it should be. Also got a lot of grease on the door panel and added some dents and curves that should be there. May be ordering a new door panel now…

Installed Rago Molle Storage Panels on my son’s 4Runner. Tedious job, but worth it in the end.

Went back to the mechanic to have them take off the running boards and hitch receiver. Normally things I would do myself but I couldn't get the bolts to budge. Now I'm ready for the sliders and rear bumper soon!

Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind for next time. I just didn’t feel like messing with it. Normally I do all those things myself but I’m about to have shoulder surgery and last thing I need is for it to slip again while trying to torque on some bolts.
