    It's a long list...
See my post above regarding the P/N and finding out which display is which.

Be careful taking the meter apart. They are super delicate, especially the TFT with the ribbon cable to the board. The LCD display is just as delicate, and you can bend or break one of the LCD display pins just by looking at it.

The Orange displays utilize Orange LEDs with an Orange Light diffusion film.

The Blue display utilizes the "TOYOTA" blue LEDs with a clear light diffusion film (I have no idea what wavelength those LEDs are, so I just call them that).

The Orange TFT uses two different size LEDs, one for the display segment and another for the mode/set button. The newer blue display is a revision of the previous part that only uses one size LED for the whole PCB. Don't try to convert them, it is not worth the headache.

Thank you, I found the -40 one for $69 on e-bay, but just like with many other projects in my life, trying to save money eventually leads to more money being spent in the long run :)

I'd be in for a harness when/if you make them again.

Limited number of connectors are available to assemble the harnesses. If you've been wanting an AMD in your 2015-2019 Trail/Offroad/Pro, now is the time to do it.

Bummer. They may come up again, but not until a new or unlocked connector is available from the supplier.

I hunted through a ton of wrecks on car-part.com and managed to find one in a 2014 Trail in the Boston area. I think they've long since been picked clean countrywide though.

I'm surprised I missed this. I had no idea about the form.

Any mention of another run of footwell lighting harnesses?

They're not too crazy new. I'll just order one along with the newer rear center console panel for USB charging.

You need the harness, the correct display to match yours and the correct model Runner for it to work.

How about the rear center console with USB charging? Plug n’ play with OEM that had two cig lighter outlets?

Oh you mean the rear panel...I'm experimenting with it. The panel looks exactly the same as mine but I'll probably have to mod the wiring so it's plug n play. Toyota dealers added USB outputs as an option but it's a simple splice job.

@whippersnapper02 sounds like we are all thinking of doing the same thing. I have the USB port, just haven't ordered the panel or small wire harness. You won't need to modify the wiring. Just order the new harness from Toyota that goes from the center console to the new USB port. The part number is 86832-35030, but confirm it with whomever you order your parts through. It's $16 so cheap enough to avoid splicing.

Thanks for that. I'm trying to avoid splicing anything if I can with the Runner.

Has anyone installed Acc meter display and have a T9 (Cartrimhome) radio unit? With the T9 you lose the compass in instrument cluster. I'm Hoping to get compass back in AMD.

To answer your question, you will get a compass back in the AMD as there is the hardware in there that is independent of the NAV gps antenna to give direction. You will have to calibrate the compass.

However, you will not get a compass direction back in the instrument cluster screen. The compass direction in the instrument cluster is obtained via the CAN bus and is only output by the factory navigation unit (poor design if you ask me). The AMD utilizes a separate data bus and can not interface with the CAN bus.

Can the amount of dimming be controlled like the instrument cluster? Or is it simply on/off like the clock?

Dimming is controlled just like the instrument cluster with the headlights on. There is also an adjustable brightness for when the headlights are off.

    Hey Gang,
I am the lucky "new" owner of a 2019 TRD ORP. I have been watching these threads for a while and decided to pull the plug and buy one. One of the first things I saw was this meter display which made me fall in love. But I cant, for the life of me, find out an installation video or something that tells you how to install this display? I believe I was able to make the cut to request the harness from OldRed, trying to verify that with him.
    Thank you in advance!
