Window tint costs?

I got a quote of $550 for Formula One Pinnacle nano ceramic with lifetime warranty for front, side and back windows on my 2021 TRD Pro. Is that reasonable? In Southern California...

 

Shop around, but that sounds pretty reasonable.

 

I paid around 450-500 for all windows minus windshield with lifetime warranty. Not ceramic but 3m.

 

300-400 for ceramic here. You can find some smaller, excuse my French, messcan shops that are very skilled and a lot cheaper.

 

That seems to be the going price, for all the windows, in SoCal.

 

I think I paid about $500 for 3M crystalline for 2 front glasses and windshield. This would be the best solar energy rejection and most expensive.

3M ceramic would be cheaper.

Other 3rd party brands would be the cheapest I guess.

I would suggest go to 3M site and read the specs and decide which tint you want. They even have 3M scotch or something as security glass thing. Lots of options.

My dealership did the front side windows when I bought it, $100.

Good stuff? I don't know, but it looks good and definitely helps.

 

Similar here. 20% front to match privacy glass... $100. Looks fine. I don't know boo about the benefits of ceramic etc but I'm not paying $500 for shit I may have to scrape off if I meet a cop who wants to write that ticket.

 

Paid $460 for F1 Pinnacle ceramic fronts 15% rear sides and back at 40% to match. But I am in Indiana. Frequently in SoCal so I would I say it sounds about right

 

I paid $240 for the entire truck, non ceramic. That's with a visor tint though, not the full windshield.

I'm sure ceramic is nice, but this keeps my truck cool inside and looks great in my opinion.

3rd truck I've had this shop do, never had any issues with the tint so far

 

Ceramic runs about $200 (roughly) than regular tint and side by side comparison there's a considerable difference between regular tint and ceramic and crystaline in the amount of heat it reduces. Depending where you live and how much time the vehicle sits outside, an additional $200-$250 (for the whole car is well worth it. The shop that has done my four vehicles has a display with all the tints they offer with heat lamps behind the wheel.

 

Paid $300 for 3M Color Stable. Boring name, but a tint I've really liked over several vehicles. Lifetime warranty.

Whatever you do, go with a reputable shop. Installation matters at least as much as whatever tint you choose.

Buy once, cry once.

 

I tinted mine with ceramic all the way around, did dark on the front two windows, and limo on the back 5. It ran $460 out the door.
I'm not sure how Southern you are, but if you're San Diego area, A.C.E. Window Tinting in Escondido is stellar. They have done 3 of my vehicles, multiple of my friends, and the owner is a great guy who grew up here and has been in business for my whole life. (He used to tint my grandpas commercial windows-small world)
