What’s everybody’s go-to for blackout badges? Is there an aftermarket brand that’s as good as the OEM ones?

Don’t think I wanna drop the cash for OEM.

Post up your reviews if you care to share. Thanks!

    OEM is worth it, IMHO

The crazy thing is they didn't update this blackout kit for 2020-2021s... it's downright lazy that they deliver Trail editions to customers with those chrome stripes exposed. Looks unfinished.

I just recently ordered a set of overlays from Runnin 4 Tacos. It was a little pricier from the competition but from their YT video, it looked a lot more durable and rigid compared to the cheaper options. I'll report back when I get them.

A couple of years ago I ordered the exterior badge blackout kit from an online Toyota dealer. When I got it I noticed it was a NoxLux product.

NoxLux doesn’t have the 4runner emblems anymore as far as I can tell.

No indication that I saw that the OEMs I got were branded anything else but Toyota and referred to the Toyota technical manual.

Could you post a couple photos of your truck? I’ve been wanting to see a blacked out MGM pro.

It's really just the rear hatch that needs the attention, as everything else is already blacked out -- but I think it looks considerably better. Just wish Toyota would make the pieces blacked-out PVD or whatever, so it isn't just effectively a bunch of stickers. I'll see if I can get some pics when I take the car out again.

why doesn't toyota just have a black badge option? Seems kinda stupid to have overlays in the first place.

I put the R4Tacos overlays on my tailgate letters and front grill last year and they have held up perfectly. Too bad they didn't offer individual overlays, since the C pillar emblems were already removed.

The T R D were separate. The “Off” and “Road” letters were connected. Very easy to put on.
