I’m thinking about getting a 22 runner, but green and locker are the musts, they might not even give me an option.

After seeing the interior of the 2022 sport being the same, I pulled the trigger on ordering a 2021 SR5 premium. I’m hoping no huge refresh is going to surprise us but we’ll see.

I knew an army green OR was too good to be true. I have doubts about lunar rock, too.

Yah, sorry that shoulda been AG for Army Green.

A colour I'd pick and something that would have made the waiting for a MY22 more worthwhile. But at this point I might as well wait a bit longer. Besides in the interim we've eliminated Forester and Bronco Sport from our cross shopping. And it's been so long in doing that the wife thinks that was her idea. :D

The 4runner is waaaaay more vehicle for your money than the forester/bronco. And it’ll be worth waaaay more, too, if you decide to trade or sell down the road.

Honestly the value retention is reason enough to buy a pro. If I had the money I know I'd get one, I love the special colors. Its obviously more markup than the value of the options, but the special edition will likely increase in value as long as you don't beat it up.

I would be pretty nervous wheeling it though, I think an upgraded sr5 makes a better wheeling rig because you don't have to be as scared of damage

Thanks. Yes, I think I understand that. Although the most expensive to buy, the 4R is certainly seems the most capable of the three: off road, interior space, towing, BoF etc.

For us it's about best fit. The other two are definitely nice cars. The Forester could work just fine as a DD, dog hauler and for most other duties but frankly I just can't see it off highway. I know folks do and they are advertised that way but I'm coming from a very heavy F350 w/camper perspective - it's a much more robust vehicle and I don't mind having that.

And I had high hopes for the Bronco Sport as a 'tweener (car - wheeler) but a few test drives and we've ruled it out. So at present it's between a 21 or 22 4Runner.

Great post and sweet rig. May I ask... Eibach springs is all you needed? Kept the rest of the stock suspension? And 285 worked no mod needed? Thanks!

If I pick up a 22 or another vehicle, I'll sell you my AG for more than a fair price.

Hi. Do you mean that video? In it he says that Army Green will be available on other models for 2022. Whoever said its not, are they reputable?

Thanks, but if I buy used from the States it'll be a Landcruiser (not avail here) :)

Yes that video. Later answered in comment section:

    Q. He doesn't confirm if army green and lunar rock will be available in offroad
    A. In Canada, Army Green is for Trail only. Lunar rock for TRD sport and TRD off road

The OR trim is the one I'm interested in, not sure/can't recall what was mentioned about other trims.

Panoramic, I think is cameras. Can search Tacoma for that option.

Won't know for sure on any of this until word comes from Toyota - for me, hopefully this month or next.

Ah thanks. I went through the comments for a bit and only saw him reply on one saying AG was back. Some other YouTube person said Trail only like it was in 2021. Panoramic would be niiiiice to have.

I went to Toyota today looking for a Land Cruiser. He laughed. Said it would be impossible to find a Heritage Edition.
