    Great looking 4Runner!

I also have seen a few LR Rav4's and I would specifically try seek them out to get a sense of the Lunar Rock color. I was always kind of indifferent about it, but I agree - it does not translate to how well it looks on a 4R.

    Enjoy!

Called my sales guy yesterday, he got back to me this morning. He said someone from regional was there and they should be expecting to get the allocation in the first week of June. I'm really hoping they're right. From what I've been reading lately, it should be about a two month wait after that.

Not sure how far you are willing to travel, but see 3 around my area on the dealers websites with "MSRP". Take that for what its worth.

If you wait 2-3 months, you'll be able to pick up a Lunar Rock OffRoad for $10k cheaper.

That's a good point. Hopefully Toyota doesn't raise the MSRP tho.

What information are you basing this statement on? Everything I am seeing indicates hyperinflation around October lasting about 2 years. I’m not sure how the chip situation can be resolved in 90 days either. But I’m curious to hear your perspective.

If they raise the MSRP, it will most likely be across the board.

So you're saying there will be no new 4Runners come October?

    Hey guys, first time posting.

    @T4Rrunning

I have a deposit on the 4runner Pro that is listed on Spitzer's website. I was at the Dealership on the 8th of May and they had one on their lot that was already sold. They said that they had another one coming in so I put a deposit down on it. The unit was built back on April 18th and was scheduled to arrive in port on the 25th of May. It was to go through customs on the 26th and be is scheduled to arrive between June 1 and June 7 at the dealership. I am really getting anxious to say the least. The market out there is terrible. The sales person at the dealership said they usually have over 200 new Toyotas on the lot and they had 9 the day I was there. I'm going from a 2012 Tundra to a 4runner but am not new to the 4Runner. I had one back in the late 90s and loved it. The best bet I can tell anyone is visit the dealer and see what they may have coming in. Its hit or miss and you may just hit it at the right time.

What I said was that I was seeing market indications of hyperinflation. That would increase the price of pretty much everything. I am also not seeing how the chip situation could be resolved in the next 90 days. By that I mean, the chip shortage has caused the shortage of vehicles which has driven the cost of vehicles up. Thus, no resolution to the chip shortage, no lowering of the price of vehicles. Neither one of those circumstances would contribute to the lowering of prices $10,000. But I really am curious to hear your perspective regarding how prices could go down $10,000 in the next few months.

The MSRP for ORs is already $10K less than PROs so a LR ORP should be avail for less than $42k.

Ok then it was just a comparison between the Pro and ORP. Thanks for the clarification. I hope you’re right about the three month timeframe though. I’d like to be able to rent a car for a decent price again soon.

First time posting but have been watching this thread for awhile.

Just put ernest money toward a new allocation for 4Runner LR TRD Pro from my local dealer. Got the spec sheet showing the VIN number so I’m feeling fairly confident at this point, knock on wood.

Found it last night after it popped up on my daily ritual Toyota.com inventory search. Then called them to confirm the allocation and headed strait there.

When I got there they told me I would have to wait to even put a deposit down for the reservation. Actually left the dealership at one point because they said the big boss didn’t want to lock in the deal. Was driving home feeling like it wouldn’t work out when they called and said I should turn around and come back. Gave them a non refundable ernest deposit and signed for it when I got back.

Don’t ask what the adjustment was, it was not a small sum…

I paid a $2,000 market adjustment three weeks ago on a LR Pro. I was unwilling to go above MSRP for a Pro two months ago, but given the times I felt it was a good deal!

What state? Dealer? I think that is pretty reasonable given the current market

Agreed, the inventory is extremely low! I got lucky! This vehicle was apparently ordered by another buyer that lost patience and found one elsewhere. I happened to check the dealer's website on the day it was posted on 05/08. The told me it would arrive on 5/19 and it arrived early on 5/13. I have been really pleased with it.

    Got a big update today!
The order went through and our 4runner is being built on this Wednesday (in Japan obviously). Sales guy said there's a chance we'll get it in July, but I'm betting on August. From what I'm seeing from other people, it takes about 2 months once the vehicle is built to receive it.

I'm surprised they put much of a market adjustment on one that they don't even have yet. It saddens me to see all of these markups, but I guess that's how things are in certain areas for now. My sales guy is staying true to the $1500 off MSRP for ours.

Same. They must have approved a bunch today lol. I'm planning for early August as well. I made sure to talk to the new car manager to verify the build I made with them and that my name was on it. $500 refundable deposit and getting it at MSRP.
