Seems likely that many here are serious about fishing/hunting and thought this thread might be useful and helpful. I recently purchased TRD OR Premium so I don't have anything to offer up but am hoping to get some ideas & inspiration.

What rod holder is that? I've been looking for something for my new 4runner.

The inno6 7 rod holder. I had it in my old land cruiser and it fit much better in there. I’m actually going to see if I can modify it to sit a little higher because now the bars that mount to the handles are hanging just below the back doors so passengers can hit their head on it when getting in and out. Another one to look at is rodup, they’re pretty nice as well.

I've been looking all over for a way to mount my rods vertically from a hitch mount but every mount seems way overbuilt (overpriced) to hold some $50 poles.

I was looking at your idea for rod holders. I have some 7ft telescoping trolling rods for walleye fishing with large level wind reels. I use them for walleye fishing on Lake Erie.

I don’t have a rod locker in the boat and maybe your idea might work instead of me laying on boat floor while towing.

It wild be nice to have a better place to put them versus floor of boat while towing. I use six of these rods and reels so it takes up space

    Hello JD,

    Great setup!
Whose Molle Panels are those with the extensions down to the wheel wells?
I've got some OrangeBoxx panels on order but they did not offer anything that extended so far down.

I have installed the Canvasback cargo liner with side panels for protection from the Wirehair.

Nice setup. I don't hunt or fish. I build and fly toy airplanes, aka RC slope gliders ;)

I just installed the 5 rod rhino rack. they come in 3, 5, 8 and 11 rod sizes and double for skis and snowboards if thats your thing. works great, no added noise on the highway and keeps them out of the vehicle. i will have to get some reel covers at some point perhaps, but so far so good.

Here's another idea for a rod holder:

    20190728_150124-1-1.jpg

It's a Rod Saver rack from Bass Pro Shops. I bought aluminum flat stock from Home Depot and bent it to follow the contour of the roof. It keeps them tight to the ceiling. I can fit rods up to 7', 6" in some spots. It was probably about $50-60 altogether.
