    Hey Guys!!!

I just ordered a TRD Pro grill a few days ago. I currently drive a 2021 SR5 Premium and wanted to install the heritage grill to it. This morning, I called my local Toyota dealership. The man I spoke with told me they will not install it because they don't want to be liable for any issues regarding safety. The part I ordered is a genuine Toyota part (not aftermarket).

Any suggestion on what I can do???

does the pro grill not support the sensors in the front?

I am not particularly handy around a car and have little experience. However, I was able to do this with youtube videos. There are a number of videos out there, I watched a bunch, and was able to swap the grill. It was surprisingly easier then my pre project anxiety would of led me to anticipate.

Too bad you're across the country or I'd install it for you for free. Just did mine two weeks ago. It's just a bunch of clips. The hardest part is having to tug off the grill.

Here's a good video of how to install:

It's pretty straightforward. Try it, slow and gently, without doing any harm to the plastic clips.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Watch a few videos on Youtube, and read my topic here for some additional tips and tricks. https://www.4runners.com/threads/grill-upper-trd-pro-heritage-grill-installation-info-2020.15345/

Also pray that you ordered the right parts. 2020+ has a different part number for the big TOYOTA piece than 2019. I heard some echoes that 2021 even has different part numbers from 2020, but I also saw that it's still the same as 2020. The 2020 part numbers are in the topic, just scroll down further.

I can also add that I haven't had any problems with the TSS after installing my heritage grill. I haven't had to let the 4Runner do emergency braking for me, but it has detected cars ahead and told me to brake on occasion. It also on occasion gives me false alerts, but I've gotten about the same amount of false alerts before the heritage grill as I've gotten after it which isn't very much. Radar cruise also works fine. I actually didn't use radar cruise at all until after putting on the heritage grill.

Where did you order the OEM grill from? I've been seeing aftermarket ones but when I look at the Toyota parts page I get confused about which part is what.

They didn't charge me tax when I ordered them back in March. They also had free shipping back then. Doesn't look like they offer free shipping now.

Thank you guys for all the feedback! I installed the heritage grill (TRD Pro Grill) on my own. Saved some money!! The only lil downside is the fact when I installed the garnish part, I placed it a little too far right which created a small gap on the left side (barely noticeable...unless you're washing the car). I bought it online from a Florida dealership...so, it is not an aftermarket part.

I love the way it looks!!!

You might be able to take a heat gun and shimmy the piece over to the left a little bit.

I have heat gun...but how would I move it? It's really stuck on it. The gap is only about 1 inch.

I absolutely love customizing it. Next mod: dark tints (20% all around/50% on the windshield) :)

Heat it up from the outside so the tape on the inside gets free enough to move it. It'll be hard to do since it's a lot of surface area, though.

The other dude's probably right. Nobody's going to notice.

When you bought from the dealership, did it include the 3M double-sided tape for install?
