    Hi All,

I'm curious what monitoring tools you all use?

Currently I use Scanguage2. Is there anything else that you use? Anything better?

Minimum criteria it should be able to read transmission temp & engine temp.

Torque pro displays coolant temp, separately trans converter and trans pan temperatires, in and out temps of catalytic converters and (possible) voltages of oxygen sensors, but I have not dig out PID yet. Toy with good interface. Scanguage is a pro tool and less distracting while driving, gives you just info you need without play.

I did use Torque Pro app with the Bluetooth OBD2 dongle. It used to freeze after sometime and had to unplug the obd2 dongle and plug backin. I forgot if it had Transmission temp or not. I guess you have use the app better.

For sure I love the scanguage 2. Never failed on long drives.

I use a Carista OBDII and an iPhone app (Car Scanner ELM OBDII) to interface with it to display various 4Runner sensors. You can create custom screens to display various sensors. Here’s one example.
