Packed it up for a trip - leaving in a few hours. Extremely impressed with the FCP lift and everything is spot on! This is exactly why slight forward rake is good when the truck is unloaded. If it were “leveled” it would look pretty damn silly right now.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
It's a nice day today, so I took my 4Runner out to a hiking trail for my little RC Trailrunner. Unfortunately, the steering servo went out probably a mile into the woods. I had to carry it back home. I then got another servo and tested it outside the truck. The new servo works, so I'm going to replace it tomorrow or during the week. Whatever. I'm not going to take the truck out tomorrow anyway because it's supposed to be raining.

Since it was nice today, I took this opportunity to look under my 2020 4Runner SR5. I had done Fluid Film last fall, and I gave the rust situation a look. It's nice! I might have seen one tiny spot of rust, but I think it's just something with the weld. There was still a light coat of Fluid Film over everything, even the bottom of the frame rails. I'm very impressed. I'm glad I did it last fall. I'm definitely going to be doing it again. Anyway, while it was probably overkill, I did just a bit on the easily visible exterior frame rails and rocker panels. I probably only used a quarter of the can. I didn't go crazy with it. I still think I've got plenty of Fluid Film inside the rocker panels and frame rails because I still occasionally smell it on a warm day.

I also remembered that I could be creative and do things to make use of my Rok Straps and my Maxtrax. While I couldn't get the Maxtrax up on the Rago shelf, I utilized the Rok Straps and the cargo net hooks to secure the Maxtrax. It works pretty good! I already covered up the Maxtrax with a towel so the UV from the sunlight doesn't eat them up.

3 step POR15 on some rock sliders. Made a mess out of it using a brush. Bit of sanding and top coat tomorrow.

Rolled past 50,000 miles this week.

    Changed the oil.

    Greased the prop shafts.

Probably should have changed the air filter, but I didn't have one handy. Will have to stop by Toyota and grab one this week.

How come you're looking at those?

Are you not eligible to get a brand new pair from Toyota because of the clunk?

I think that I was very lucky that my source had this fox set in stock... last one. I had to wait for UCA and Spring for a day...

I have been thinking about one of those. Is it hard/expensive to install?

Those are the fox 2.5. Comparable to king and icon but better IMO.

I like my OEM fox suspension but when it’s time to rebuild I’m just going to upgrade

New fuel pump courtesy of Toyota, took a little under 3 hours, tech said RCI skid was much easier to R&R than the OEM skid. 14676359-3D43-48E5-8F2E-6766D6CCCB47.jpg

I ve decided I'm not doing anything else until all of my parts are in.

SSO hybrid bumper is here and in the shed
SSO roof rack still waiting since Jan. 27th
Suspension, Billstein. Ordered in March and they are telling me May into June!

I have plethora of misc. other parts that I have here and I'm waiting to install. Going to do a marathon install weekend once its all here

I actually had higher on the front side, but made it leveled. Ride is much smoother. from stock suspension, it is night and day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I drooped my runner off at Hefty Fabworks for a complete armor install: bumpers and full skids. Also adding ladder and tire swingouts, on board air compressor, fog lights, additional back up lights, a light bar in the front bumper, and a winch.

    I'll pick it up tomorrow.
