I will keep it short for now.

Dealership crashed my 2018 TRD ORP with tons of mod. Dealership promised to give me a 2021 TRD Pro.

Not confirming until I see in person.

Yes I still loose ton of money that I have put into the TRD ORP and by far capable than a stock TRD Pro, But that was the only way the dealership can help, to give something with higher price value.

Please feel free to start a Go-Fund-Me so that I have enough money to pay for the title fees and registration for the TRD Pro Price tag. I think I paid over $1100+ for my Limited at the DMV so I bet TRD Pro would be worse than that.

    :help:

I'm not sure what I can get out of my old rig. I requested atleast to have my Garmin in reach as it's like personal phone.

I have to see if I can clear personal data from headunit gps and secondary GPS. Try to see if I could format the memory card on the dash cam. I might have to get a toll thing before someone use it and me getting a bill. I don't have what I can get from it.

Not sure they would let me get permanent mount gmrs radio or any of the skids. To bad I miss the ELKA suspension. It would probably have 100-200 miles.

Yes, I got an email from General manager with the new Vin number of the new 4runner they ordered and hopefully I will get it in a week or so..

Both drivers involved in the accident are ok.

Thank you, its always nice to have a new vehicle. But I'm really disappointed on the amount of money and time I put into it and don't feel like doing it again. TRD ORP was my primary mid vehicle and I didn't put much effort on SR5 and Limited. TRD ORP was our touring / adventure 4Runner.

I'm planning to add main skids to the Pro and take things nice and easy first and see how it goes.

Had similar happen to a Vette. Just a suggestion. You should itemize all you have done to yours and compare it's value to what they say they're willing to replace it with. Bargain as hard as you can to drive the new one OTD without having to pay a dime in taxes, fees, or title. I would also make every attempt to remove all the mods you can off the wrecked one. jm2c Been there done that.

Edit: How classless of me.......I'm really sorry this happened to you!

They tried to cheap out on things and I had to get Toyota Corporation and my insurance involved in the fight to get it to a state to give me a new 4Runner. I guess it's not easy for a little Asian guy to deal this kind of incident. Accident happened on 2/4/2021 and I had to ask every point to make sure they fix the 4Runner right. But when I saw it after fixes there were warning lights on dash, worst alignment I've felt, poor paint job, light bar hanging with just 1 bolt, UCA adjustment bolt having different positions, the list goes on and on. My misery went on till Y'day. I just want to grab a new 4Runner and run fast as I can from that dealership. I will share any more details after I get the new 4Runner and get out of this dealership. I would just have to take the loss. I'm atleast happy to take the loss at this level rather than having to deal with legal process at least it won't be too bad been a Citizen not on work visa or something like that.

They have obviously put you thorough hell. Understand you wanting to distance yourself from the nightmare. Sleep on what I said, because down the road YOU WILL look back and ask yourself, why? Why did I let them do that to me. Keep your chin up.

That just majorly sucks about your '18 getting smashed, at least they are trying to make it right. It would be nice to get your Elka's from your old ride... unless the Elkas got damaged. Hang in there, it will work out.

No sir, enjoying ELKA is in the past. 18' is not totaled, Dealer will fix it and sell. So I cannot have those removed. That's why I'm getting the Pro, to compensate the mods.

    It's a magnetic gray one.

Only thing new on TRD Pros to me is the new infotainment system and Toyota safety sense. Will see how I feel about it. Also I can give impressions on trails. I've been only driving my buddy's Pro on local roads.

    Will definitely share my thoughts.

I am most interested in the MGM Pro as well of the current choices. However, I am almost inclined to wait for the 2022 lineup to see what the new Pro color will be and what new "minor" winkles will be added to the 2022. I'm not in a hurry and I hoping they will put out the info on the new 2022's by June. At that point I would think one could order a 21 or 22.

Man, congrats, and glad that everyone in the crash was ok... It was VERY nice of them to offer a 2021 Pro, and I think that it's a fortunate outcome of an unfortunate circumstance. I think many people would agree that most dealers would just give you maybe a newer model of your existing vehicle (TRD ORP), but customer retention is more important to them. Embrace it man, and the mods will come. Don't be stuck on the past... It's gone, and it's moving on to better. :) If you say you can't perform all of the mods at once, just do them one at a time... You may discover that you may not want to do some of the mods after driving the new one. They definitely went out on a limb to keep you and to make it right... So many dealers nowadays would much rather tell you to "piss off and take me to court."

    ENJOY the new 2021!

    Cheers,

    Sean

If you are buying TRD Pro I'd say consider special colors.

In my case this is a replacement for the crashed / messed up vehicle. I'm just refinancing / opening a new loan so dealer can get the tittle of the old vehicle and I give the new title to the bank with remaining balance. I just accepted what ever damn thing dealer offered and want to run away as fast as I can from that dealership.

I bet! Tough to have put that much thought, effort and expense into a modified vehicle to make it your own; and to have it taken away in an instant though no fault of your own. The pessimist in me wonders why we invest so heavily in our vehicles to look cool and have fun! I am just as guilty!

Goodbye my friend (TRD ORP). I'm some what happy they have fixed some of the issues I pointed out. I see dealer fixed the light bar with some sort of glue. I don't want to go into details and hurt my self more. Just thank you for the great run, keeping us safe from stupid driving skills of mine taking wrong lines. Really sad day.

I hope the new TRD Pro will win my love slowly.

I still had some issues with the replacement like why I don't see the options like running boards, safe console, etc missing from the TRD PRO? But I just want to end this mess. To compensate those missing items dealership told me they will give the sliders from my TRD ORP. Whatever...!!

The reason I got from the Dealer is even though its listed on the initial pdf I received "They are available to fix at the port. Since those items don't show up on the window sticker that means they does not come with the vehicle."

I don't know sir. I'm done and I don't want to argue. At least they agreed to give the sliders from the TRD ORP back in few days and I would have to fix it by my self. I said ok.

    Sorry to hear about this!

If it's not totaled, why not have them fix it and cut you a check for lost value due to the reported accident?

You would keep all of your mods then, unless they were damaged as well. In which case, you should be compensated for them as well.
