Yeah it did turn off the safety sense. But does not affect the cruise or air bags. I don't like all that tech anyway. All it is a crutch for people on their phones going down the road.
This is the light I got on my dash. No big deal to me.they do make bumpers without the bull bar. Those will not affect the toyota safety system

Fluid film the frame. Not sure i did it correctly. It didn't make a huge mess that "others have posted". The CRC, seams like a better product with better coverage.

How's the fluid film on attracting dirt.

Today, I installed a cold air kit/noise maker. I took it for a drive afterwards and concluded the following:

1.) Besides liking the way it looks, it makes a helluva lot of noise on medium to hard acceleration, which I’m good with. Normal driving, there is no difference in sound.

2.) As for any increase in power, doubtful but there could be a very small increase. I also have a Pedal Commander so the throttle response was already improved over stock.

The installation was pretty easy except for the vacuum hose supplied in the kit was a PITA. It was a little to narrow to fit. I took a drill and opened up the ends a little more and it fit fine.

As for why I opted for the Spectre kit over K&N, TRD, etc., I liked the look of the metal tube over the plastic ones offered in other kits and I could not find another kit with a metal tube. Just a personal choice.

    All of them.
Got the dfg tilt slider installed. It took a lot of modification to get it to work though. The slide was 2 1/2” too long and honestly could have been a little shorter than that. And even after modification the fridge wouldn’t fit without hitting the back glass. So we had to do some more modification to the slide but after 4 trials we got it where we wanted.

And it works perfectly now. I did talk to another member that has the dfg tilt slide and they said with time it won’t be so stiff to close the slide. We found a little weight in the back compartment of the fridge makes it tilt back in a little easier. https://youtube.com/shorts/YOfiZqQPRA0?feature=share

Found these on Amzon. Figured for $9.00, give it a shot. M6x1.0 and M8x1.25 cleaned the frame threads for future slider install, much faster then using a t-handle and a normal thread chaser or tap.

Still waiting on my Transfer Case and Gas Tank skid plates from RCI, and saw that my Dirt Kings should be arriving Thursday. That'll take care of two sets of planned upgrades when they arrive: Armoring the underside, and getting it lifted.

Next up is to assemble some recovery gear. Purchased a set of Apex Overland Front Recovery points, and looking into a receiver hitch recovery point as well.

Please don’t judge. I got a new welder and did my own BMC. My stick welding can use some work. But I tried the best I could with the time that I had and trying not to burn up the rubber so I had to stop a lot. The tight space and weird angles. A mig welder would have been better. Now I just wish Toyota would move that stupid mount backwards as so many people do this mod.

It was time consuming. I spent 12+ hours on everything and still have an issue to resolve that I’ll take care of when my ICS mount comes in and I find time to install it.

I’d set aside a weekend for it. Just have to be methodical with how you want to wire it up.

Same here, was about to purchase a much more expensive option and came across these. Wasn't expecting any thread damage, just some dirt. A little WD and a12mm ratchet made short work of it.
