No slope soaring glider. I've been building and flying RC aircraft for about 45 years.

I'm on top of a Butte. That's why I have a 4x4. To get me to my flying spots.

Pictures worth a thousand words. ;)

Impressive. What a great hobby, and one you obviously know a lot about. Like a lot of kids I built and flew .049's years ago.

That's how I started too, I just never grew out of it. ;)

My dad builds and pilots some RC aircraft.. not as much lately though. He also pilots personal aircraft (has a Piper Cub and a glider). I don't know that he's ever piloted an RC glider, though, so I'll have to show this to him. I don't think we have the right land around for RC glider flying, though, from the looks of it heh. Pretty neat. I never got into the flying thing like he did, he's been into it since a kid. I'm more of a motorsports guy, and love the water, too. He's the same, though; we love it all heh. Flying sketches me out just a wee bit more though.. nice to be near the ground ha.. but yes the science is obviously sound so I don't actually worry. Flying is fun for sure.
