I work as a US Gov’t contractor. Contract was recently renewed for 7 years. Perfect timing with all the crazy virus stuff going on. I’m blessed!

Paid off my 4Runner the other day, only made 20 payments out of 60. Calling to check my balance yesterday and hearing the robot voice say "the balance on this account is ZERO" was very satisfying, haha.

Also found out that due to the vaca policy of our new parent company, I just scored another week of vaca, for a total of 5.

I bought a bunch of 1979 miniatures that lead me to the UK where my credit card got put on hold. Then I couldn’t answer the stupid security question and I got mad and cut it up.:)

So on Wednesday night my 8 year old Husky, the one in my avatar, had a seizure. It didn't last very long but took him over an hour to totally come out of it. Thursday morning he could barely walk and was heavily leaning to his left side. I called the vet and they took him in immediately and I left him there to be watched and let them do blood work and a full checkout. While he was there he had a major seizure but they gave him a shot quickly and it stopped the seizure immediately. We believe he had another bad seizure overnight which would explain why his condition worsened. We bought him home that afternoon with a bunch of meds. The vet wasn't sure if the seizure had cause neurological damage or not but we decided to take a wait and see approach. This morning I am happy to report that he is doing much better although he is still a bit slow in getting up and at times seems unsure of himself. He appears very happy when I take him for his walks even though I have shortened them from 2.5 miles to about a 1/2 mile today. He is no longer dragging his feet which he was doing Friday and a bit on Saturday. We are hopeful that he recovers totally in the next few days or even weeks.

Wife and I made it safely home from work in the ice storm, and then got a call from my dealership that my order request was submitted to the Rep and in a week or two I should know the build date of my 4Runner!

Spring is here, and it's a beautiful day!
Also, the parts we ordered for our 1999 4Runner should be here today. Skid plates, ash tray...little stuff that needs to replaced to make as factory as we can.
We also found the dash panel wiring harness for our 87 4Runner! The fuse panel caught fire back in December, and we finally found the replacement. Took a while, but we found it!
Now, if all goes well, I can sell my pickup to my daughter Arwen (yeah, I'm an LOTR geek...), another former Marine like me, who learned to drive in it. She wants to teach her boys, 3 of them, who are planning on being Marines too, to drive in it. 3 generations. Toyotas are RELIABLE!!

Good news all over the place after all the fun that 2020 wasn't. :D
    Have fun, all!

We did not buy a camper.

The next day, I received an email from the local humane society that this 5 month old boy was available and meetings were by appointment. We scored the first appointment and during the meet and greet, they determined we were a good match for him and he immediately won the whole family over. He picked up kennel cough at the humane society, so formal training must wait a few weeks, but I have plans for his in home training. He's already learned a few things. We chose to name him Loki.

He and our 9 year old dog get along great. Now if I could just get him to stop chasing the cat...

It may turn out the cat may have to convince him to stop chasing the cat. A few claws across the tip of the nose does wonders for that.

Or a lot of yelling and screaming by you. Maybe the famous rolled up news paper on the snout, although I am against hitting pets. All we have are cats, so the squirt bottle does a great job. Might work on your puppy.

Be ready for the kitty to start spraying the walls and stuff. They get to feeling they don't have a "safe" place to live, eat, sleep, they do that to try and mark an area for themselves. Don't get mad at the kitty. Not his fault. Is there any way you can set up an area for him the puppy can't get into? That would really help the kitty's psyche a lot. Put his food and water there, his bed, and his litter box. Make a "kitties only" area in your house. Even just a single room would do the trick. Best is to try and convince Loki to cut it out, though :D

On a side note, the parts for our newest 4Runner came in, and I started installation yesterday. Another beautiful day today, so I have confidence I'll be able to slap the skid plates, and roof light assy, in. Easy peasy!

I wish you entire family, and pets are fur-kids, all the best.

The kitty pretty much has the whole second floor. His food, water, and litter box are upstairs. New pup gets to come upstairs only for a few minutes at bedtime for my youngest to say goodnight. Otherwise, Loki stays in his kennel until it's time to go outside for walks, training, and play time. He hasn't earned free roaming privileges yet. The cat is becoming more used to him. He'll come downstairs during the day to sit on his perch and lay in the sun. He'll also come down at night, when he knows Loki is sleeping, or if he hears us making popcorn - this cat has an obsession with it.

    LOL!
I understand. One of our cats has a passion for potatoes. Mashed, chips, fries, doesn't matter.
When I was growing up, we had a huge Siamese cat, that had a passion for martinis. Scared guests that didn't know him when he'd climb up their legs to try and get to a good martini. He got along great with our St. Bernard, after a few spats.

Anywho, it sounds like you have everything well under control! I'll shut up now :)

My wife and me picked up our first 4runner on Sunday. A 21'ORP, she had been driving or 12' tacoma previously. I text her today...

"How was your commute to work on the 4 runner?"

    Her response to me....

"Great! I think we were made for each other!"

Glad I have a wife that shares my passion of vehicles!

Got my new/used forward foot pegs installed. At first nothing fit, but with five minutes of my neighbors help and his drill press. It came together nicely!!! 0BF6F487-F356-496D-BAF4-D45BBF969F0A.jpg

Took the day off from work, so I slammed four huge crappie, a Warmouth, shellcracker, and bluegill, on the fly, catch and release.....

The old fence/pallet wood projects continue...a co-worker of mine saw one of my tables, and asked if I would make her son a headboard and two side tables...figured out a pattern, and voila!
