...and they are mounted and balanced, check your tire pressure.

mine were inflated to probably the MAX psi rating for my tires which was 80psi! I couldn’t get an exact measurement because my gauge was pegged and it goes up to 60 PSI.

I thought Tire Rack would know better given they know what vehicle they are going on.

Anyway I was wondering why my ride was so harsh after my wheel and tire upgrade and never thought to check my air level

Aired down to 40 PSI and the ride is sooo much better.

For reference my tires are Cooper STT Pros, LT295/70R17 mounted on Method MR 315’s 17x9 and I love them!

I think they must do it for shipping purposes. My KO2s on Method 703s were also at 80 psi. I was surprised how easy it was to add the new tpi sensors on the vehicle. Just hold down the register button in the menu and drive a bit. It is also easy to set a lower psi threshold for when you air down.

Don’t you need a tool to register the tpms sensors or is there a way to do that from the driver seat? I had new tpms sensors installed as well, but was going to have them programmed when I go in for my alignment.

You can do it from the driver seat, at least on the 2020 model. Go to the gear symbol on the menu, select tire pressure monitors, there are two modes, one to register the sensors and another to change the tire pressure (which is handy if you want to air down and still keep an eye on losing a bead and going flat).

First time I have heard you can air down from the driver seat. Have you used this feature?

You still have to let the air out manually, but once you get to 20 psi or whatever you want to run, you reset the psi, so it will alert you if anything goes down from your new lower baseline.

Air down to 35 and the ride will be even better.

I’ll probably play with the psi to see how it impacts mileage. I think 35 would be good. 40 is so much better than 80 lol. Was like driving on wooden wheels.

I haven't noticed any drop in mpg at 32 instead of 37-38. Plus I'm sure those tires are an E load. Those sidewalls need way less air than a C load.
