Have an 04 4Runner and going to put new wheels on it. Why does every site I go on say the TRD wheels won’t fit? I see lots of 4th gens fitted with them, I don’t understand.
Also, why go with TRD over another brand such as Method?

Does it say why they don’t fit? There’s no reason they shouldn’t, all 4runners use the same bolt pattern. And for your second question, that’s your own choice to make.

Same bolt pattern yes but my 2000 4Runner wheels don’t have enough room to run on my 2004. It doesn’t say why they won’t.
Just wasn’t sure if there was something I was missing.
    Thanks

FYI, it could be your caliper is too big and won’t clear the wheels. Or, the offset will cause the tires to rub on the upper control arms.

Offset is something I have yet to understand.
