Looking for lift recommendations

    I know this has been asked 1000 times and I’ve searched literally for days on forums about what other people have done and it’s just made me more confused. So here it goes:

    I have a stock ‘13 SR5 that I’m looking to at least level out if not lift also. I bought 265/70/17 Cooper At3’s about 5,000 miles ago because my wife was driving it at the time but now it’s back to being mine. As much as I love the look of a lifted runner on 285’s I’m not sure I can justify that total cost but I’m willing to spend up to $1500.

    My head is spinning on whether I should do adjustable bilsteins/eibachs in the front just to level vs a full lift such as the eibach pro truck lift. But then I found out I’ll need UCA’s if I do that. So, can someone please suggest a decent option for getting a nice stance/look without breaking the bank. Thanks

    Well I guess I should add I wouldn’t mind getting rid of the nose dive also.

    Lifting the front around 1.5-2” will usually level it just fine without having to touch the back. I think you’re on the right path with either bilstein or eibach... making an overly generalized statement on the difference between those two; the bilstein will typically ride firmer but offer better handling; while the eibach would typically ride softer, but may experience more body roll.

    If the stance doesn’t come out right/ends up rear low; then you could swap in a pair of 1” lift coil springs later. Coil spacers also work fine in the rear, but it’s the same amount of work either way. And if you ever happen to get flexy off-road, less chance of spring unseating and having a spacer pop out.

    Oh, and at 2”, you shouldn’t “need” UCA’s; a good tech should be able to get to decent ride handling/tracking specs still. But if you find the steering feelings flighty or loose after, you can always add arms later on as well.

    RevTek 3" front- 2" rear leveling, JBA uca's, LED interior lights, Cooper 275-70-17 AT3 LT
    Several companies out there for just a leveling type lift, we did put a lift/leveling kit on, we like it as far as the "look", but understand it has very limited 'real' capabilities. In the not so distant future we are going with a Elka suspension, now that we've determined this is the right "look" for us, and now making it functional. BTW- RevTek has a 3"X2" lift/level with rear shocks for $500, but remember capabilities/performance DON'T come with the "look". Good luck.

    The stock rear shocks are fine up to 2” I retail the Cornfed 3/2 kit for $209 with a lifetime warranty. Pretty hard to beat that deal. 631-202-8245
