Greetings! Weird situation while warming up my car this morning. I've notice while it was warming up, I slightly turn my wheel and the engine revved. Not a whole lot but enough for the RPM to jump. Anyone know or experienced this? Thanks.

Your power steering pump is ran by the belt which runs off the crankshaft pulley (harmonic balancer). When you’re turning the wheel you’re making the pump force/pump fluid into the rack and pinion to turn the tires which strains the engine so it compensates by idling higher. You don’t see this when driving because there’s already enough power.
