Is anyone running the C4 Fab hybrid front bumper on a 2020 or newer 4Runner? I’m thinking about adding one and would love to see pics. I’ve also hear that you can now disable TSS via service bulletin 26-20 and not worry about that stupid grill sensor.

Link to afore mentioned service bulletin, if interested?

It does recommend disabling the PCS and DRCC systems on vehicles that have been modified (ride height, oversized wheels/tires, brush bars, etc.) in a way that potentially disrupts the functionality of these systems. Vehicle owner’s written consent is required before performing the calibration to permanently disable the PCS and DRCC systems. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to disable the PCS and DRCC systems.

Yes, my truck fits all those criteria. So I’m ripe for the reflash.

Does the service bulletin prevent the light from coming on? Mines working find with the bumper and lift but eventually I’d like to go full bumper

Not sure yet. I will report back once the bumper is on. I suspect the light will be on permanently though.

Yeah I read the bottom that it will remain on. Which sucks. I have the warn bumper with a modified bar and it doesn’t affect my sensor going off. It did at first but we realized I accidentally bent the bracket that holds the sensor to where it was angled down. A quick removal of two 10mm bolts and reach down and bent it back in place it has been good since.

Why would you bother with permanently disabling, if the light remains on? Might as well just leave it alone and stare at the light, no? That way, at least if you sell your truck, or decide to go a different route with it, the function is still available.

This TSB doesn't look like it helps us one bit. It's just there to help Toyota lawyer up, etc. I mean, why the heck would you sign something, and take away a feature, when it doesn't do anything for you? The light is still on, you still have to remember to not use dynamic cruise control, AND the vehicle might still perform erratically such as stopping for something that isn't there?! What does disabling the system even DO, then??

This is how the TSB describes the vehicle AFTER the permanent disabling has been performed:

May not????? Why not will not?

    Toyota sometimes......
