I currently removed the fender flares and I am trying to decide what I should do with them. I was considering aftermarket fenders but before wanted to see if anyone has cut there own flares and what mods are possible 20210216_173639.jpg

The paint on my fenders is very faded. I'm thinking about just taking them in to be professionally repainted but I'm worried about damaging the clips taking them off. How were yours to remove? Any tricks for easy removal?

Doesn't look like the OP is going to reply but I'd like to know the answer to your questions as well.

It's a pain in the ass but I recommend getting a prying kit, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FV5ZJL3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_SAKCGTRGMYNJAPBGBKZW

I took off the lining of the wheel well to get to the back of the clips closer to the door. I pulled upward from there then at the top used a thin plastic putty knife to pry off the top ones. Use tape to line the actual fender so you don't damage the paint while prying off the flares. The clips turn a quarter and come right out if you can manage to get a grip of them while peeling the flares back.

I just wanna comment on this post, So I can keep an eye on it. I wanna do something soon about it. Thoughts have been Painting, Bed Liner spray, Powder coat, or lining them. Just wanna get the best result out of them. I got that prying kit and used a few of them for different things. It's a good thing to have.
