Good morning, hello to all-anyone have any luck finding a lift/level for the 2021 TRD PRO yet? I keep looking but from what I'm seeing, since they changed the suspension this year, no one has anything out yet...is that just me? I lost track of the places I've looked but no one seems to have anything available.

What did they change? Most websites dont update the model range very quickly if thats what you are basing it on. Eibach Springs or westcott designs spacers are your best options.

From what I was understanding, the Fox suspension was changed for 21-maybe I've misunderstood that but in many articles the boasted about the new fox shocks-I thought maybe that was the reasoning I wasn't seeing info on lifts/levels. I just want a little bigger look and room for a bigger tire.

They switched to fox shocks in 2020 unless there is another change but that’s not very toyota of Toyota.

Its just the switch to Fox.

    The aftermarket stuff still fits.

I called ICON and asked about if any of their stage lifts will work on the 21 TRD PRO. The guy said we haven’t tried it. He did say other shops have done it and have no problem with it. The reason I asked it only shows up to 2020 year on their web site. Plus I called 88Rotors in CA that do tons of 4Runners and Tacoma lifts and asked if I could put on any of the ICON lifts on a 21 TRD PRO and they said yes. Also I brought up I want to use the same rim/wheel size and put on 285/70/17 on a stage 7 3.5inch lift. He said that’s a perfect match without doing any other work to make things fit right. Any bigger tire on that gotta do a chop to fix rubbing and etc. They do a lot YouTube videos on what they do too. I’m waiting on my 21 TRD PRO and this is the 1st. thing I’m going to do to it unless I hear something different before I get my TRD PRO.

I talked to Eibach Friday and they said they have a 21' coming in within the next couple weeks and will get stuff out after that. I drove one already without the lift and don't wanna compromise their suspension by any means-it drives nicer than my 18 Limited. Hopefully things work out well for timing. I wanna keep this one a few years

The Fox setup for '21 has changed. It has been re-valved and the lower spring perch has changed. For 19-20, the front springs were flat ground on the bottom. They are now just cut off, like the end of a corkscrew. I have a '20 Pro, and after adding a bumper and winch, it sits about 1" lower in the front. BOO! I also have the Fox shock knock that is addressed in the TSB. The fix is to install the redesigned '21 shocks. On the Eibach site, it states that their longer springs will NOT work with the TSB applied. But, maybe any old 3x13 or 3x14 front spring will work now with the redesigned lower. Guess i'll know more in a few days.

Got some pictures of the redesigned front coil overs for '21 and for the TSB. I may have to get some 3x14 650 springs and trim them 1/2 inch shorter to get the open wire for the bottom spring perch.

Thanks for the pics! Can you verify that both front shocks are identical? I just ordered a Pro Suspension Kit for my 21 Off Road. The spring collar was in a different position on the left vs the right in past years. They appear to have changed that to consistent lengths in 21. Thanks!

Hey there-- haven't been on the forum is quite some time:/ Caught this post while nosing around to find info on a suspension snapping/clicking issue when shifting. Honestly, I'm not up on the the new shock towers or their offset coil base. Interesting! I imagine it might be a bit more difficult to mill a contoured spacer for these. Can they be adjusted or removed? I have the old Bilstein's coils and leveling was simple! I used the Toytec replacement spacers, which preloaded the coils and added a 1/4" spacer at the top end allowing the reuse of the stock bolts and nuts. It raised Chief almost 2" and completely eliminated the dreaded nose dive!

Yep, the Westcott Designs spacers are the same as toytec, except, I preferred to use the stock bolts and nuts, so only used 1/4". The angle increase of the CV axle rod was minimal. Word of advice, don't use a small strut compressor-- go BIG, as these coils are beefy;)

Hey Moon, sorry if you're already aware.. just trying to help. May be obvious to you, but the 19-20 TRD Pro FOX setup is different, and is more like the Bilstein TRD Pro setup, or a more traditional aftermarket coilover setup, in that the springs are flat at the bottom and top. For 2021, Toyota and FOX changed their design so now it uses a regular style spring found on typical OEM vehicles, where the spring coil extends more and isn't "flat." If you look at the photos posted above, you'll see what I mean. Because of this, one cannot use the older style Westcott Designs or Toytec spacer kits, as they are spacers with a flat top, designed to be used with the "flat" springs from the 2019-2020 FOX setups.

EDIT: Westcott now offers a kit for the 21+ style spring, too.

I purchased the Westcott spacers specifically for 2021 fox shocks -$380. It looks like an easy install giving 2” front and 1 1/2”rear which allows 33s without UCA or body chop. I’ll have that before my 4Runner is built ...

Anyone have any experience with this set up yet?

Wouldn't it be much safer to go with the known brand like Eibach for less amount of money? Only catch is you pay more for labor in swapping springs. BTW I don't have personal experience.

It's all new to me and I hadn't seen that eibach set. That said, Westcott has a good name in the genre (from what I researched) and this seemed to fit the bill with allowing 33s and not requiring other modifications. Guess I'll guinea pig it for the forum. Plan to have these installed and 33s on within a few weeks after my 4runner arrives.

Wonder if Eibach found the solution with the new parts replaced by Toyota with the Fox suspension problem since the recall is 6 months? Not sure. But I would prefer using spring mods vs spacers.

I'm with you on the spring mod. Notice they didn't rate those springs other than their lift potential. Wonder why?

Eibach is working on a solution for the 2021 change but they aren't out yet. Westcott beat them and already has their solution available.

Neither are really great IMO so whatever.. do what you want. But IMO if you want to "band-aid" the TRD Pro lift, using the Westcott lower perch ONLY for the fronts, for a 1" lift, and then using Bilstein 1" lift springs in the rear, is the way to go. That is a 1" lift. More than that, and you should buy different shocks. Plenty of people use the Eibach solution too, though, which lifts it 1.5" It's probably fine on the street, but if you are going hard, I feel that you may get ill effects because you're using only part of the shock range at that point.. and since they're multi-zone shocks, that is worse than if they were single zone shocks. I feel that Eibach spring'd TRD Pro FOX shocks are constantly hitting the "stiff" zone under rebound if they're bouncing much at all. You do you of course and feel free to come up with your own conjecture...

BTW a 1" lifted 4Runner is plenty for 33" tires. No need for the 2" front that Westcott provides if you install their top plate spacer up front in addition to the modified perch.
