Battery died

    You need a new battery IMO. Batteries don't last 7/8 years.

    Not in newer vehicles, it seems. My 2003 made was still on it's second battery in 2017 when I traded it in. Now I hear about batteries crapping out after 3 years. I'll probably need one this year.
