My new to me 2016 Quicksand Pro build

I’m a newbie here, just picked up a new toy. I have been searching and trying to find this color for a few years and finally was able to make a deal happen. Its a quicksand TRD Pro, already had a few mods done to it, now its my turn.

C4 front bumper
Gobi rack
Toytec preload lift in front and 2.0 springs out back.
Rigid light bars
Worn ass Nitto 285’s
And a few other minor things.

Here’s how it sat the day i got it

Here it is in current form. I removed the roof lightbar, not sure if it’s going back on, not a fan. I removed the pinstripes and all the clear protection film, got the saggy front leveled back up, will have all new suspension for the front coming soon.

Ray10s installed with 35” 50% toyo MT, More cutting. Or just go back to an33-34. Front suspension needs work, spacer TuRD lift isn’t cutting it.

Lol no! It took me 2 years to find this, I’ve only seen a few for sale in a reasonable distance and they sell in a day or two. Hell I think I’ve only seen a handful this color in person since they’ve been out. I’m super stoked to finally have one.

Welcome from Nebraska & beautiful color! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Plus, we are only parking lot flexing with covid. No one wants to see a 4runner next to a snow pile. Lol

Get it wrapped in quicksand & you will have factory paint protection. Plus, you can keep your truck & mods...

Thank you. I’m definitely taking it off-road and trail riding, but I’m not going to get it all dented and scratched up, i have my Taco for that. and no, i I don’t have a mini crane in my bed. Haha.

Ok question how did you mount the lift in the bed and do they have one of a 4R?

 

Yeah that’s why I’m debating the 35s. I have 4:56on the taco and i wish I would have done 4:88 or more.

That’s perfect. You made me laugh out loud. Haha. I am getting old, I’m still halfway denying it though. This is actually my midlife crisis build. Id love a Z06 with a big turbski, but that’s to cliche. And I’m done street racing.

 

Well i got a few LED upgrades for now, VLED headlight low beams, and reverse lights. Also installed my UNI filter on the air pump.

 

I don't think LEDs will work well in our headlights, HIDs are awesome in them.

 

Yeah its weird how they go in sideways, that was making me wonder. And i see a alot of 4runner guys swear by the HIDs. They seem bright, but I’ll have to wait until dark to test and aim them. I really like the VLEDs though, i use them on all my vehicles.

 

I'm a huge fan of VLED's as well, but if they end up not working out for ya, I have a set of HID's from Xenon Depot with brand new bulbs for sale. Had them in my OEM lights and they were awesome, but I got Alpharex's so now the HID's just sit there.

 

Thanks man. I will let you know. Ill try and get pictures. I know aiming projectors are a little different since they have a distinct pattern. And I bought the high end set too, should have spent it on the turn signal/parking lights. Lol

 

Here’s a sneak on the Ray10s. Not sure about the bronze lip, but they were the only full set available. I figured i could always paint the lip black pretty easily.
