iJDMTOY Raptor Grille Light Power Wire

Purchased the smoked/white grille lights for my 2020 after deciding I did not like the amber set I had. The amber set had a fuse plug-in that was very easy to plug into the fuse box in the engine bay, only complaint was that it stuck up too high causing an issue closing the fuse box lid. Ordered a new set, this time iJDMTOY 3-light set. The wiring is different on this set with the power wire having a spade style terminal rather than fuse plug-in. It has an inline fuse but the only option to attach to power is the spade terminal. Their website was not helpful, a generic instruction page that was worthless. Tried calling them and they sent a link to the same instruction page. Has anyone installed this set? I don't want to cut into the wiring harness, any thoughts where to attach?

 

Guessing I will need to get one of these rather than splice into the headlight wire...

He took off the spade connector and spliced on an add-a-fuse.

 

Correct, sorry should have added a photo. This shot does not show the additional fuse but there are two. Also, rather than plugging into the INJ fuse, I chose one of the headlight slots to the right of it in the lower section, this way they only come on with the headlights and the fuse lid closes all the way too.

 

Can you take a pic of where you put the positive wire and ground?

 

Here you go. The black ground goes to the bolt on the right side circled in red, the power wire can go to one of the headlight slots as I have done or if you want them on whenever your truck is running, go with the fuse where I have the other red arrow. Just know that the add-a-fuse plug will prevent the fuse box lid from closing fully. I might try to look up the fuse for the DRL lights and change to that, right now they only come on with headlights.
