Russian vehicles are not known for their reliability. Only 8.26" of ground clearance. The RAV4 has more than that.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
It might not be fantastic, but I'm glad to see it. Maybe after a couple generations it will become a well regarded vehicle. I heard they're going to be building them in the US to get past the chicken tax, at least for the pickup, and the parts aren't going to be 100% the same as the Russian version.

I'm for any 4x4 making it to the US market, whether it be Lada niva, Daihatsu taft, Suzuki Jimny, or UAZ-469. The 4x4 wagon market, especially for economy end, is not very competitive in the US because of safety regulations. And even if I don't like it, someone else might and then there is one less person competing for used 4runners.

So I hope the UAZ Patriot does well, I'm not loyal to Toyota- increased competition is how prices drop and improvements get made- so we don't get a generation of vehicle that lasts for 11+ years.

I like the sort of retro stuff, so I like it. I wouldn't buy one...I don't think...

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
Being 6'4 I probably wouldn't fit in it, but I'd love to see the Suzuki Jimny in the USA.
