2020 12Volt Solutions install help needed

Hello All,
Santa brought me a 12Volt Solutions remote start for my Key Start 2020 TRD OR. I connected all the wires. But the unit will not program. Following the video directions, I hold the button and plug in the wire, the red lights flash, but then when I turn the key to the on position, the lights never come on showing green. Does anyone know any tricks? Id like to put the dash back together today if possible. Thanks in advance.

 

We just bought ours. Haven't installed it yet. Did you possibly get the one for the limited ones (non G key)? Or given the wrong box??
That could be my only assumption.

Not sure, the invoice shows the correct unit was ordered.

 

Check the box # to make sure it wasn't sent wrong. Otherwise we may both have an issue...
Did you get the long range kit?

Here is my box. I tried unplugging and replugging the wires. Nothing worked. There must be an updated programming sequence for the 2020

 

Any luck yet? Do you want to see my controller for reference?

I've read a couple threads on Tacomaworld about 12 Volt Solutions and Accessorides. I would try searching there. Below contains soft reset instructions and describe that not everyone gets the lights spelled out in the directions when programming.

I got to speak with them on the phone. Apparently the module that was packaged and sent to me is the wrong one. They are sending the new module today.

 

Can you tell me the difference in the modules? Can I cross reference mine to see if it will work?
Or was this a 2019-2020 issue?
I just don't want to rip apart the dash twice.

The models look the same. But the label on the package from the module was the tip off. Id say go for it. The rep I spoke with was awesome and sounded like this doesn't happen often.

 

The new module came in today. I hooked it up and follow the programming directions that were on the 12 V website. All is good the truck starts up everything works as it should.

 

Good to hear Jay. Minus the delay, and hassle, in no time it'll be forgotten and just enjoy the remote start.

 

I had quite the experience installing this remote start as well. Nothing wrong with the module but it was a PITA just because of difficulty even finding the programming for the module. It has been a long day but just understand unless you have a laptop or knowledge of the links they send you for instructions it is very difficult to get.
I will explain more here tomorrow & start our build thread as I have needed to for a year & a half.
I will also say that we did it on a Sunday & my helper was a 27 yr audio install vet but no availability for support.

I got mine in the mail , I tried installing it but I think I got the wrong one . TOYO-TL5-T1Y25 is what i got and the plugs are all different than the video.2018 4 runner Premium with factory alarm .

 

Are you still having trouble?
I just installed last Sunday. Maybe I can help.

I removed all of it so need to start from the beginning, my harnesses were so different than the video.
