Help Installing LED Bar

Hi -

I am trying to install a Behind the Grill LED Bar for my 2017 4Runner.

I am stuck on the very first step! What I am trying to do is install the mounting bracket on the front impact bar. Here is a link of an image from the instructions of an installed mounting bracket. As you can see, I have to unscrew one of the existing bolts on the impact bar, place the mounting bracket on, and then screw the bolt back on. Since I can access this bolt without having to totally remove the full bumper, I am trying to access this bolt from over the top.

The problem is I can't unscrew the bolt! I pushed firmly, but it isn't giving and I wanted to get your opinion on what to do first before trying other measures (I don't want to strip or break something!)

Are you supposed to remove the front bumper?

 

Remove front bumper for full access. It is easy steps and will take no more than 10min.

 

So if I remove the front bumper, I should be able to loosen the bolt by pushing hard?

 

Removing the front bumper will give you full access to impact bar. if needed, you can even remove impact bar and work on LED installation, then re-install impact bar.
