I often ask my wife when we are driving around and see standard 4Runners "Is it bad that I look down on stock 4Runners?.... She entertains me and agrees... i can almost see the eye rolls when we creep up to one...

:D accurate! my neighbor buys a new white 4Runner about every year, always either Limited or TRD. She looks like a complete "Karen" but is actually ok...but she definitely has that look every morning when we leave for work and I'm my 'humble' little SR5.

That’s basically everyone with a stock pro where I live. They think they’re elite because they cruise the Costco parking lot with a pro badge and their faux leather seats:laughing:

There's two other stock Quicksand TRD Pro's that live near me. Mine's lifted with a few mods. They never even look at me. Its heartbreaking haha

Recently I was at the Vet with our one dog and had my AG Pro. The girl came out and I know her from going there all the time. She even said didn’t you have a different color Pro and I said yes. A white 17 pro traded that in. Second compliment within one week about my AG pro from a girl. Then she started telling me about her 4runner which is blue. I was just as excited about it what she was telling me. I know where she was getting the work done close to where I live. She was having it lifted with 285’s and also having it fully wrapped to a different color. I’m excited to see it when it done. She’s really into it. She said she hated trying to keep the blue paint clean. I told her dark colors are very hard and show scratches easily.

Funny. I love my 4Runner, but when I am in my GT500 I feel bad for the TRD Pro drivers who don't know what it is like to drive a vehicle with 662 horsepower. Easy to look down on the TRD Pro at that point. No sense in a pissing contest. Somewhere, there is ALWAYS some vehicle nicer than yours. And that includes the Shelby.

I'm pretty sure most everyone here who buys a new vehicle could afford a new TRD pro if they wanted...but those who do buy the pro...they are called city folk. In the city you need terrain modes and shocks to survive the concrete jungle. I live in th country. I already know how to drive.

    i agree with this
this whole thread makes me laugh just what i needed
because you are a Trd PRO owner & driver it doesn't make you a better offroader or person it just shows that you chose to go with that package that you thought it fits
your needs better enjoy your ride no matter what package you got even if you got a 2X4 yes i said it 2X4:amen:

These statements sum it up well.

There's really no reason to look down or up at other trims. Any trim has the same potential. Some pay a premium for upgrades from the factory. Others might add their own upgrades. Others might even just drive it and not worry about what trim they have.

I have more appreciation for a tastefully modified SR5 than a stock PRO tbh

Depending on your ultimate goal, it might be the best starting point. And, they're pretty sweet to begin with.

Any trim is a great vehicle.

I have a lifted Platinum Tundra the wife has a stock SR5 4runner. I have hair on my genitals she does not.

This makes no sense, just like paying for a pro.
