Hello, I am one of the owners of a SR5 without the front and rear valances. I have found a front one all intact with clips. Can someone who has added valances to a SR5 tell me and maybe some others how you knew where to dremel slits in the bumpers so the valances install like factory. Any pictures ? Did you make a paper template ? or ? Want to keep it as close to OEM as I can . Thanks for your help.

Finally got the 4Runner home...ceramic coated, both paint and undercarriage. Canvas Back ordered, a few chrome deletes ordered...maybe a new roof rack, ladder...idk.

Great looking truck. What color is that? I never had a vehicle with ceramic coating before, the one I got had it done by the prior owner and I can't believe how it continues to stay shiny even after sitting outside exposed to rain and whatnot. Never thought to do the undercarriage... hmm.

Side note, nice avatar that brings me back about 20-30 years

    -J

EDIT: Just saw the text under the avatar (lunar rock)... haven't seen that color much, real nice.

thx...I only had one other car coated and swore I'd do it forever...I had my shop do the undercarriage with IGL Eclipse after reading about it online...hoping it minimizes the shit they use on the streets during the winter. :)

Do you have the Amazon link to the Auxito bulbs you purchased?

I think this is it, but of course, good ol' Amazon says it doesn't fit my 2019 4R. The Auxito website mentions Amazon's fitment guide could use some help...

    https://smile.amazon.com/AUXITO-Lum...g+and+Play&qid=1607102716&s=automotive&sr=1-1

The reviews for this bulb all rave about the brightness, with some saying the bulbs don't fit tight enough, but nothing about that specifically from 4R owners. Do you think they are a tight fit?

    Love the look of it..

Really interested to see a discussion tall skinny 255/80R17 vs not so tall fat tires 285/70R17.

True fat tires look good when looking from straight and back. But really want to know functional facts. Eg - in deep snow trail a 255/80R17 has an advantage or 285/70R17 has an advantage? Or in mud or rocks?

I don't know about trails but I thought on pavement you always wanted a good winter tire to be on the thinner side. More pizza cutter vs snow pusher.

Banner, that looks great. The white is blinding

Given that this is a 33" inch tire, there is a table here on the site stating that "extensive modification" is needed to fit this size. What did you do to make it fit? Stock means probably no lift, but what about mud flaps, wheel arch liners, etc?

So I did mention above I was testing, there is some rubbing with this set up that will require some trimming. I saw that chart and didn't really agree that "extensive modification" would be required, that's why I wanted to test. I don't think a CMC will be required or anything, just some trimming of the front plastic and I suspect the mudflaps will need come off the front.

@cug I should mention that my truck took some trimming as well even with a nearly 3" lift. But 255s have a lot less problems fitting then 285s.

Wonder if you had an adjustable UCA you might not needed any trimming. For my 285 with 2.5" OME 884 springs I only had to trim this front part of the bumper.

Possible, I've got JBAs on my Taco, that's what I'll put on the T4R as well when I lift it.

    Definitely that would work.
I can't imagine how can some drive without mud flaps having to remove after bigger tires. Even with mud flaps I get crap hitting through the holes on sliders. Many times I've thought wish the sliders didn't have holes on top plate.

It does not have a lock like other brands. It holds by that blue rubber collar. I too had concerns if it falls off. So far its in place. Wish they had a better locking mechanism especially when you pay that amount of money.

So I am curious - on the video linked above, it shows some red O-rings when unpacking the bulbs from the box. What are those O-rings for?

I think they are to be used if the rubber doesn't fit tight enough. Even with those o-rings there is no locking type of mechanism.

Simple 2” front leveling lift today with Bilstein 5100s all around. Nothing major but it looks and drives so much better. I’m happy! F0730090-A5F1-4051-80DA-AD0F83548188.jpg

Looks nice, you’ll enjoy the simple lift. I did the same on my 2016 4RTP a year after purchase. What brand of tires are you running & size?
