I installed a 3" front 2" rear lift (advertised) from a very reputable company. My center hub to fender is 23.25-23.5. My concern with it is my CV angles and eventually my needle bearing. Any thoughts? I'm installing a diff drop tomorrow. Does this angle and the hub measurement seem bad?

Put in the diff. drop.. Ours has 3" front, and it has diff. drop spacers, the angles do not look as steep as yours, although I did not measure it.

    ^^this^^

Diff drop was recommended when did 2½" lift, cost was minimal and install was two bolts.

After diff drop. No real difference. Those skid plates took more time than the diff drop install, jeeezus

I wouldn't worry about it. Any change in suspension geometry risks premature wear on CV's, etc. If your needle bearing goes, replace it with an ECGS bushing.

Are you experiencing any noise it vibrations?

No actually. I even told Ironman 4x4 thst it rides great, looks good, no binding in 4H or low. With that said shes only got 4000 miles. Ive heard of toyota replacing front diffs even if its lifted. Im not upset, actually kinda mad at myself for wanting 3" vs 2 or 2.5 of lift. The tires I have don't need lift and the reason I lifted it is for capability and MORE reliability. I wish the nitro gas were adjustable. Id just peg her down, no worries.

A lot of people go 3" here, though. I'm at 2.3" with no diff drop. No issues yet, about 15K miles since lift. I would think 3" lifts would be less common if they were causing problems.:notsure:

Oh, I didn't realize that. I never did before and after measurements and just assumed that I got about as much lift as Bilstein advertised.

How much actual lift did you get? I assume others are running more than 3" of lift if many lifts on the market are coming out higher than advertised.

I wonder if anyone here is running 3+" without issues?

Maybe its just me but 23.5" to center after lift seems high.

    I was at 19" & 19 3/4" before lift and now I'm at 22" hub to center.

No diff drop here my CV angles look no where near that.

Yeah 22 I'd be happy with im certain. 24 and 23.5 is excessive 100% and im actually upset. Im 50/50 on removing this lift before it causes damage.

You don't happen to have a spacer installed on top of the lift do you?

Can you take a pic of the top?

I dunno what to tell you. This is my CV angle at the measurements I gave earlier. The day I brought it home from getting the lift so it didn't even settle yet.

That does look higher than a normal 3" lift. Have you contacted Ironman about it?

I have, at least the guy I spoke to was defensive about it. Which was weird most jf the guys there are super cool. This new dude told me "give it 5000 miles to settle, yeah its a 3" lift but you can see 3.5 to 4 if you dont add a steel bumper".... wtf.. I emailed my salesperson and told him I'm removing the lift this weekend

Well, that sucks. Don't they offer different spring rates based on your stock vs steel bumper/winch, etc?

Those angles are as best as they’re going to get at 3”.
    Here are mine.
I have about 3” of lift, maybe a little more as people reported getting closer to 3.5” of lift but I’ve never measured.
I’m not too worried about it as I plan on doing some preventative maintenance at 75k miles and upgrading the cv shafts, replace wheel bearing (running aggressive offset wheels and big tires), upgrading tie rods and anything else that can wear due to lift and tires.

It’s been raining heavily in town, it’s been sitting in the garage for a few hours drying up.
