Time for my first oil change at 4500 miles, so I am looking online at my local dealers (quick pick up) for best price of Toyota OEM 0W-20 motor oil P/Ns: 002790wQTE01 (single qt), 002790WQTE6s (case of 6 1qts) and those part numbers show up as "no longer available for purchase".

Some other online dealers also show these P/Ns as "no longer available for purchase".

parts.toyota.com shows these as available for purchase with links to my dealer websites, wtf?
Makes me think some dealers are trying to encourage people to come in for oil changes!?!?

So far, the best price I found online is at OEM Part Source for $4.47/qt + $16 std. shipping (14qts), I just have to wait a week or so for it to arrive.

Is there a reason you want “OEM oil”?

They changed the bottles, they may have changed the part number with it.

    Definitely a possibility.

I know they just changed the air filters.

From what I understand, the API designation doesn’t necessarily mean the oil formulation changed, only that it met the relevant API testing requirements. Hence the Toyota SN oil seems to be the same as the SN Plus oil. As you said, the API SP will most likely be a different formulation and part number.

Is there a reason to think Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum would hurt?

No 0W-20 oil on the store shelf will hurt your engine. I used to run Mobil 1. I'm currently running Pennzoil Platinum. Thinking of switching to Castrol Edge just for the heck of it.
