    So I took this area apart and saw this disconnected. Can someone tell me what this connects to ?

    Hello Roy.

    Are there currently any switches in that area that is open? - If not, that wire would connect the switch that would normally belong there on a higher 4runner package.

    So that wire goes to a switch that other 4runner packages have, that you didn't get.

    also I thought limited was the highest packaged offered so it would have all the bells and whistles

    On a 2003 looks like a TRAC OFF button. Which yours may not have come with. Chances are they just make 1 wiring harness for all builds.
