Does anyone know if the TRD Pro Grille for the 2021 uses the same two parts as the 2020?

    PZ323-35058 Garnish
    PZ327-35056 Upper Grille

    Thanks.

I don't believe that the 2021 Pro's have been released yet!

True. Just wondering if anyone has installed those parts on a 2021 Off Road which have been released. :)

I can't think of any reason why the 2020 parts won't work on 2021 model TRDOR. As long as it has the cutout for the TSS you should be good.

The 2021 grill looks a little different, but seems to be the same size. Here is a pic of my SR5P. Chrome strips on either side of emblem are new. 70FECE45-0D71-479B-8797-91845E15E03D.jpg

The chrome strips are present on the 2020 as well. That whole piece is replaced when you convert to the Pro grill so it’s no biggie.

The aftermarket versions where you have the mount the letters, from my research, are noticeably aftermarket. Primarily because the letters are difficult to install perfectly straight and if they aren't installed perfectly it is easy to notice they aren't properly aligned. The Tacovinyl version seems interesting...

I ended up ordering the pro grill from Tacovinyl. Did a little more research on them and they seem legit - small US-based business like runnin4tacos who also has good quality stuff. Will keep y’all posted.

Do the letters come mounted, or do you have to put them on yourself?

So I reached out to taco vinyl:
    - The letters are pinholed and screwed, laser aligned. YOU INSTALL THEM. He said it's pretty much impossible to fuck up. (I probably will) He will install them for you, but I wouldn't. Run the risk of shipping snapping them off.
    - The paint (you can get colored letters is solid.
    - His website doesn't have much info, but it's getting updated this month so hold tight
    - email support@tacovinyl.com for questions

Thanks for the follow up info! Up till now I have not changed my grill, because I would for sure not be able to line up the letters, as I am artistically retarded.

Thanks for getting more info! I sent an email asking about it but hadn't heard back yet. I already got the notification that my order has shipped! I didn't have the letters painted since it was $40 and I can always do them later if I want to.

I definitely prefer to shop local/small business whenever possible if the quality is good so I'm hopeful! I'll post pictures of it straight out of the box.

That link doesn't appear to work or the item is gone. Can you resend? My guess is it's probably the pre-2020 version or the one where you have to attach the letters individually with tape.

So that one doesn't work for 2020 and up because it doesn't have the cutout for the safety sense. You could cut it out yourself with a dremel if you feel confident enough. You probably also tape the letters on with that one and I've heard of there being issues with the letters not staying on when taped or being crooked. Let us know if you decide to go that route!

I have no experience with the black out badges. I only have experience with the original pro grille from cth.

So what was wrong with your black out badges ?

They work, but the fit is poor. Uneven edges that flare out too much on some pieces. Other pieces don’t quite cover all the chrome. Nothing you can see from 15’ or when the back is covered in dust (which is all the time on these trucks :D)

It’s like DIY Home projects, nobody else sees the imperfections except you.

If I ever come across a factory 4Runner with blacked out badges I’ll have to check the fit. Maybe I’m just setting the bar too high.

I bought badge overlays from Runnin4Tacos and I was super impressed with the fit/quality, and I am VERY particular with the fit/quality of things, obsessively so. I'm switching out my white OR for a gray one so I need to buy another set of overlays, but R4T is often sold out...probably for good reason. Here's the video that sold me on them.
