Front camera and navigation bypass on a 2020

Hi there,

I know you like pictures ! I installed a front camera and a bypass on the navigation system of my 2020 Nightshade in order to let my passenger enter addresses when traveling.

I bought the front camera kit from anytimecamera. I also bought a DIY kit for the bypass but I did not use it. Instead I bought a switch from aironboard. In fact you just have to switch a wire (#27 on the Nav harness) to bypass the system. I added a relay to have the indicator lamp working when GPS bypass is activated.

 

Interesting idea. I usually ask my passenger(wife) to look on her Ipad

 

Did you have to remove the grill to drill the hole for the camera mount? Did you ever wish the camera was mounted higher?
Thinking if getting the same camera for my 2020 nightshade.
