New to the forum and just purchased a 2018 4runner two months ago. The car has this phone button with a blinking blue light. Anyone know what this is for or how I can use it?

It is stock HU. I did press the button earlier and nothing happened. The light blinks blue when the key is off the ignition.

Maybe try taking it to your local car audio shop and ask them.

I’m guessing it’s a button to send/receive calls. Have tried pressing it with an incoming call ?

Thanks for your help I will try it later to see what happens if I try to press it while receiving an incoming call. I did press it the other yesterday and nothing came up on the HU.

Is it attached up by the windshield? I also have a blue blinking light, bought the runner used, aftermarket HU, I thought it was a mic, for hands free talk, but truly not sure as I haven’t spent the time to figure it out.

I have a blinking blue light on top of the windshield that goes on when I lock the car. The one I have on picture is at the bottom area where the steering wheel is and it blinks when the car is off.

It might not be for a phone at all. Pop off that panel and see what it is connected too.

I concur. Maybe it was previously owned by the cartel, and by pushing that button it starts a sequence to ultimately open a secret compartment.

OK, OK .. seriously, no clue, but I had to have fun with it.
