Not sure if this is new for 2021, has anyone purchased or seen in person the Genuine Toyota Rock Sliders?

    Thank you!

They don't look exactly like the ones pictures above, but if you go to the Toyota website and build a 4Runner these rails are listed under accessories. The fine print says they are only available in the Gulf States Region though, at least on a new vehicle from the dealer.

I like the compact design. May be good for someone who wants some protection but doesn't need a full blown rock rail. Interested to know how they attach.

Yes. Listed under options when you build a truck on the Toyota site.

Different name and price though then the ones listed for the gulf states.

I contacted a local dealers parts department in Pennsylvania. I’ll see what they say.

Gulf States Toyota is notorious for tacking stuff on without asking and then charging you for it. In this case, I imagine it's a "port installed accessory" so it's not really Toyota, but distributed by GST and advertised as Toyota. It's just a 3rd party they made a deal with in order to sell it when you purchase a vehicle.

If you can find out who's making it, they might offer it cheaper if you buy it direct. Unless GST does it's typical crap of making sure they are the sole distributor so they can monopolize the price.

@M4dm4x - Thanks a bunch for the P/Ns. What vehicle are you going to install these on?

I found that https://www.oemgenuineparts.com/ prices are a couple of dollars more per side, but I can save over $50 on shipping to MN compared to EB Toyota. I'll also see what my local dealers would sell them for.

Looking at those mounts I would absolutely not expect them to hold up to much off-roading.

Yup, basically a step that looks like a slider. Good for stopping some door dings and loose shopping carts

That, and if the tubing is open on each end like shown in a couple photos, they'd likely collect mud and such inside over time. Could be a recipe for serious rust issues.

i had the same thought. while i dont think ill be doing much rock crawling, these are a nice cheaper option hopefully. i would definitely figure out a way to seal those ends, though.

They look like they attach to the side of the frame using existing holes. Looking at the mounts and the metal, I wouldn’t slide them over more than grass
