Just wish they made a more unique color. There are several RAV4’s in this color parked in my apartment complex. Kinda boring to be honest.

This is how " pre pro's" show up from Tahara.

They get all the pro bits added on in the US.

I kind of like those black steelies. I wonder what happens to them afterwards?

Spare tires for all the 4runners. Least that's what I read awhile back in one of the forums

Yeah, not a big fan of that colour, it certainly wouldn’t be a motivation to buy one. Although, I’m pretty indifferent about colour anyway unless it’s really gaudy. I always buy off the lot at the end of the year and take what’s there if everything else is what I want. They made a nice Red on a Pro a few years back that looked cool.

Not too excited about this color. As others mentioned, not too rare to see this color on the RAV4. On another note I saw the AG is offered in 21 on the Trail edition in the same article. That stinks! Guess it’s not going to be as rare as I thought to own a 20 AG Pro.

There are several Rav4's with this color. Too common for me, and to be honest, kind of a strange color.

Worth every penny in my opinion. The obvious reason is 4Runner but if you ever decide to trade in or sell it then you’ll know what I mean. I agree it’s probably over priced but there’s not another vehicle on the road that commands a better resale. I plan to drive mine until the wheels fall off though.

So the resale value is irrelevant...

I think with a 4 Runner you need to think beyond the colour fashion of the year because they last so long.

I think it'll look good on the 4Runner in person.

The color is fine. Dealers preparing to charge $50K+ for an eleven year old dinosaur is not fine.

Reliable. Time tested. I bet they will be flying off the shelves. I do not like this lunar rock color though. I think the best color 4runner ever had was orange few years ago.

I'm guessing they ship them back to the factory to put on the next soon-to-be Pro.

That's a bold statement. People say this about a lot of vehicles but you'll eat those words on a 4Runner. I plan to drive mine as long as I want and trade in with a great value towards whatever is next, even if that is 10 - 15 years away (which it never is for me, just saying:))

Please, stop pretending that the 5th gen sales have anything to do with Toyota's ingenuity. They neglected the platform due to abysmal sales during the recession, and fell into success ass-first when every other SUV besides the Wrangler died off or became a crossover. The drivetrain had better be "time tested", the 1GR has been the same engine for almost two decades. Call it what you want, but charging $50K for some shocks and a green paintjob is not innovating, it's separating fools from their money.

It's still cheaper than buying a Jeep Wrangler. Have you priced out the Rubicon?.....Damn thats pricey!

I like Lunar Rock in person. My beef with it is that it doesn't show up well in photos. I enjoy sharing pictures of my overlanding trips with friends on Facebook, and the white/silver/black rigs don't stand out from the landscape. I know this is a personal peccadillo, but ask and car photographer and they'll agree with me.

But back to Lunar Rock: I dig it. Just not for me.

Well yes. I’d agree with this as well. I guess I should preface I feel the same. I don’t intend to move to a different one but that usually does happen. I do plan to drive this one a very long time though and enjoy it so I didnt mind paying up a little bit.

I do somewhat agree but the market does speak the truth. Not saying I agree it should be $50k because I don’t at all. They sell a lot and do year after year so as a business if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I myself love the simplicity of the things that most complain about. I’ll take a reliable fun suv over one with tons of bells and whistles but in the shop. But have to disagree and not sure why everyone feels the need to call people out for their personal preference. I feel we should get what we want without being questioned why we spent the money. I’ve modded jeeps for years and say what you want the money spent keeps piling up year after year. The Pro was exactly all I wanted and needed off the lot. Over priced? A bit but what vehicle is not this day in time.
