Hey, new member here! I have an 02 SR5 I bought last year. It had 60k original miles. I have since changed all belts, shocks/struts, fixed valve gasket cover oil leak, flushed all fluids, etc...it runs great! But, I have 2 issues. First, the power locks have an intermittent issue with not locking. Most of the time they will lock with the remote. But, sometimes only some will. Is it the actuators or something else? I have also noticed a gasoline smell right after driving it. I haven’t found a gas leak, but there is a definite smell.

    suggestions?

    thanks!

I haven't had the issue, but I see people do have issues with the actuators. This comes up in threads for programming keys since you need to do the lock/unlock dance. So if it were me, I would look at either lubing the actuators or replacing.

For the gas, baring an obvious fuel leak...which you should definitely look for...you probably have a leak in the evaporative system. I get a whiff after I drive once and a while...but I also get a CEL code thrown every few months. It's really annoying as I want it to break hard to so I know where it is. The alternative is to do a smoke test or just throw parts at it. I'm getting to a point where I may just rebuild the whole evap system since it's all plastic and ruber and probably need to be replaced back to front.

How will a low battery pop only some of the locks?

Don't know but it's worth a try. Low battery can cause weird things to happen.
