This morning my 4runner wouldn’t start. Everything in the car was completely dead - no lights or sound BUT the car remote did open the doors.
    Nothing worked, lights etc.

I jump started it and it started right up. I went to have the alternator and battery checked both good and the battery was fine.

What would cause the entire inside of the car to cut power including ignition? Btw I know the power was off because the stereo’s clock also was reset to 12am when it started up.

    thanks for any help.

After checking around, I guess it's probably the battery terminal. Other people have had this problem.

To me it sounded like you left something on that drained the battery down.

I checked. BTW, the battery was full. The alternator good. Today I checked the terminals and the positive terminal moved as I was tightening it. None of the dash, lights turned on at all in the interior that was weird.

you probably already looked but is there any corrosion on the terminals? a little crud can do a lot of mischief. for some reason one of our cars cakes it on real good about once a year

A door left "ajar" with the interior light left on will drain a car battery.
