2020 windshield tint strip

Anyone have a pic of what they’re tint strip looks like. I just got mine back and they guy uses “pre cut” pieces and it drives me crack the way he put it on. Makes no sense. I’ll post a pic tomorow of what mine looks like.

Whats wrong with it? Looks just how a windshield tint strip is supposed to look like.

 

Good to know the blueprint is finally out. I went in earlier this year and my tint guy said he couldn't yet do it because of the new camera setup.

 

Didn't say anything was wrong with it, the OP said something was wrong with his.

 

I need a pic from the inside of yours. From the outside you can’t tell. But uh from the inside it makes no sense why he did it

 

Mine is an 18 so no camera. That’s why yours is how it is

 

Does it need to be cut where it is. And not over the dots all the way to the black box which I assume is the camera for the tss

 

Basically yes, my 18 Taco was cut the same as yours so it would go around the camera. Don't quote me, but I believe if the camera is moved it has to be re-calibrated when reinstalled. Hated the TSS BS and is the main reason I got rid of it.

 

I WORK A TOYOTA DEALER AND OUR TINT SHOP GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE BLACK PLASTIC COVER THAT GOES AROUND THE MIRROR. THE CAMERA IS IN WITHIN THE BLACK COVER SO THE TINT WILL NOT HAVE AN EFFECT ON THE CAMERA. I WORK IN THE SERVICE DEPT. SORRY ALL CAPS WORK COMPUTER SO I AM ALWAYS IN CAPS

 

Being tall, I hate tint eyebrows and didn't get one when I had my front windows tinted.
I hate having to look around those damn things to see what it coming up the road or around a curve.

Have to say - that looks hideous and I'd have him redo it.

 

Yeah I’m getting it re done. I’d like it to go to bottom of the box but that’s like half the windshield lol they’re so small I didn’t realize. User to this strip in my tundra.

 

Keep in mind there are markings on both sides of the windshield below which cannot be tinted. It's only about 4 inches down from the top. Many shops will not go below that line.
