Installed a avs bug deflector... Undecided on if I like it or not. Also installed an Etsy purchase... real cup holders!

I think I like the bug deflector. It saves you a chipped front end as well.

She’s actually got a few chips, so it covers those! I dig it, going to drive it sometime this week and see if it vibrates a bunch.

Had some time today, so I investigated why my sound system sounds crap. Went straight into checking the speakers. They are knackered. So I'm now half way through a new install. I had a set of focal components kicking about and a reasonable amp. Woohoo. I've got 1 side fitted in the door along with sound deadening and wired. All ran to under the drivers seat. That would be passenger side to you guys lol. Started running the wires to the headunit and the other side but it's been 30°c here today. I called it a day once the sun burn kicked in. So for another day I've gotta wire up to the headunit and run the wires from the centre console to the other door and fit the speakers along with sound deadening. Oh and fit the amp. Certainly cant be forgetting that. I intend to add a 10" sub at some point in the future but well see how it goes. So far I'm loving the fact that this hasn't cost me a penny (dime) as it's all gear I had laying around. Bonus. Oh yeah, ground point for the amp, any one know of a good spot as close as possible to under my seat?

Took it for its annual road worthiness test today. Aka MOT here in the UK. Pleased to announce it passed. Woohoo. I also had the wheel alignment done at the same time as I've had to change so many parts in the last few months. It's good to be mobile again. I'd forgotten how headbangingly loud it is with it straight through side exit exhaust. Definitely gonna be changing it to something less anti social in the future.

Towing is getting easier. The temp gauge is staying below half-way. I was a little worried about heat with my 6 inch KC daylighters blocking the grill/radiator. But isn’t a prob at all...Got a 14# today wind kicked up fierce had to get on plane...,FE83A9B0-5504-4503-84E7-E04B67845600.jpg

Had a BG coolant system flush performed, and replaced the radiator with a new OEM as preventative maintenance.

Next week is pads, rotors, and a pair of trim packers out back due to the weight of my tools and EDC gear.

For some reason the upper coolant hose always goes about the same time the radiator does?

I left that detail out. Upper and lower hoses were replaced today also with OEM parts.

    Thanks though.

Finally lifted the damn thing over the weekend, also changed the valve stem leading the steering rack since that was leaking really bad, added some rain guards, and nice Yakima roof rack I found off OfferUp. So far so good! Also got a supercharger lined up to grab at the end of this month!

Forgot to mention I also managed to get the cup holder center console in and hide the iPhone wire from the radio underneath and have it come out from the cubby hole in the cup holder center console. Came out super clean

That looks tough? 2inch lift? Are you running wheel spacers?

Thank you, that’s the look I want for it. As rugged as possible. But no wheel spacers, yet. I might put some if I ever decide to install the fender flares I have for it. It’s about a 2 1/2 in lift.

Looking good. Did you have to adjust the panhard rod or is the rear axel still sitting central enough? Fender flares and a body lift would look awesome.

I got round to greasing my nipples. God know when it was last done. Also fitted some rear spring assisters that I had kicking about to sort the rear end sag. I know its not ideal but it sits nicer now and feels better to drive. I best start saving for new coils. I finished my speaker and amp installation as well. I might have gone a bit mad with it as the wife complained that it was loud in the house while I was setting it up. Haha.

I didn’t adjust anything I just threw the coils and shocks in that’s about it. It looks fine so far but I’ll be checking on it in the coming days to see how it all settles. I would love having flares on it but now that I look at it I won’t do it until I get some wheel spacers because the way the tires stick out just looks too damn good to me haha.

I know what you mean. I have the wide body as standard ( jap import) and my tyres sit about half an inch inside the edge. That's with stock wheels and tyres. 265 75 16. I would like spacers as Well but mine is no where as shiny and clean looking as yours. She's had a hard life.

This past 2 weekends I took off the side steps, painted the off-road lights yellow(still not wired tho), painted the chrome pieces on the fender flares black, put the scooped hood on, and made my own Satoshi grill for under 100 bucks.

I can’t figure out how this site works. I have a 96. I installed a trd supercharger, headers, methanol injection, 4.88 gears, flowmaster and all was great. I added ported & polished heads with crower cams, and now I can’t get it to work properly. How can I program the computer to run with those mods? Anyone?

Grrrr OEM break pad replacement this weekend finding torn boot.
Installed pads to hold me over until OEM caliber rebuild kit arrives this week.
Just to be safe I ordered 1 piston if needed to replace one that has been exposed.

I will provide updates with pics

Do you mean the dust shield on the caliper piston? Mine’s been torn for over ten years and still works fine....Don’t panic...

Yeah dust boot driver side , piston had been extended some time leaving very little doubt pitting may be present.
I cleaned up caliber with SimpleGreen before compression installing new pads.

    On the panic front.
3 years ago passenger side locked up @ low speed nothing epic rotor was left undamaged.
I made release happen doing flush.

That lock event still bothers me , finding torn boot on driver side was second warning - Rebuild needed.

No big deal really ,very easy task.
I’m hopeful pistons are in good shape though.
OEM pistons will cost me 19.00 a pop
