Any day now the new springs for the Fox suspension on the Pro’s are to be released. How many plan on putting them on there 4runner Pro’s.
    Lift front 1.6
    Rear 1.0
This is going to allow you to run 285’s.

To be fair, you can probably fit 285's on a stock PRO with the proper alignment.

I’m not sure how with alignment adjustment would help me fit 285’s on my Pro. When I had my SCS wheels on with being 17x8.5 inch wheel my stock tire barely cleared.

My bad. Thought you were talking about stock wheels.

Your SCS wheels are why your stock tires barely clear.

Alignment helps because adding caster pushes the wheels toward in the wheel well (in general, if you’re using adjustable SPC arms for example and you install the ballpoint at the 4 degree setting you’ll actually lose clearance pulling the wheel back.)

It’s also worth mentioning that ride height along can not give you extra clearance for a tire on 4Runner IFS, you can change when it’ll rub its impossible for it to add clearance.

I would buy these if I still had a pro. Ive run many coilovers, fox, Bilstein, toytec and now Eibach. The stock pro had better road manners than all of them.
I still have my eye aimed at kings though

Check out Radflo, ADS, Ironman4x4, some non standard choices but also ride really well.

Another member Jynaik he has a 19 Pro he is going with the Eibach springs also. I’m leaning this way also. I would do a test if I was going to keep my Pro wheels on and see if they would clear. But I’m planning on running F5’s and Eibach springs with the Front 1.6 and rear 1 inch should be good.

Just be mindful of what Agent Outside said above.......ride height alone will not allow you to fit 285's.

If you're already close to rubbing with the F5's and stock wheels, then a bigger lift isn't going to be the answer.

You're going to have to play around with your caster. If you're in the 3.5 to 4 degree range, then that's your best chance to to fit a 285.

Even still, with those wheels you have the potential to rub on the front mudflaps and/or body mount. All fixable.

    Thank Jake,
This is what I know now. Also tires make a difference. When I had on the SCS BR6’s and tried to run the Falkens 3 different sets with balancing issues wheels turned all the way passenger tire would rub just a tad on the side close to the mud flap which is the inside fender. But when I had my Nitto’s oem on the SCS wheels no rub. I sold the BR’6’s and plan on the F5’s. I have found someone that does a lot of lifts on the Tacomas and 4runners and I plan on discussing it with him. I agree Jake there are a lot of variables. The same guy does the alignment afterwards. I plan on keeping my stock wheel and tire size on after the lift to compare and hope he will be able to tell after the alignment that the 285’s will clear with the 8.5 wheel.

Yeah, you might have to experiment a bit.

Good luck! Looking forward to seeing the end result!

I’ve watched a bunch of videos by Rotor88, a shop in California that does a lot of Tacoma and 4 Runner lifts and they seem to have success with K02s also in that size range.

Why 285’s? Why not actual 33’s in 295/70?

K02s are notorious for being undersized from their specs. They are easier to fit since they are smaller than they should be.

Thanks for the info. It will be a while depending when the springs come in from Eibach. Also getting it scheduled to have it done. I like to run Nitto Grapplers. I like the tread on them. Not sure yet.

Hey Agent_Outside, that’s why this forum is so interesting. There’s always some unusual factoid emerging to the light of day. Thanks for that one!
