Hiya from Appalachia!

Located in Western North Carolina and very excited to have a reason to be on forum (after being outside of course). While not new to Toyotas (previously LX470, Tundra, and RAV4) I am definitely new to 4Runners. I picked up a 1990 5spd 22re second gen yesterday - it's a heap but also gonna be a fun little trail rig. I've driven probably ten hours in two days - really enjoying it thus far. Be gone, automatic transmissions!

A few leaks to fix but otherwise, in fine condition mechanically speaking.

Now, the grey carpet that has covered every crack, corner and crevice of the interior...?

It's staying because I'm too lazy to remove it. Ha! That, and with two dogs that go everywhere, I'll just keep vacuuming.

Currently accepting affectionate nicknames for this bad gal. While there's no shagging happening the carpet may have earned it the title of the Shaggin' Wagon. I can't pass up on a pun opportunity like that.

Definitely, do it! I used to be in GSO a lot. Do you ever make it over to URE?

 

I’ve been to URE quite a few times, not in my new 4Runner, yet, I traded my 2007 FJ Cruiser (for my new 4Runner) there often and before that I had a Hummer H3 that I had a lot of fun on the trails with. I have some friends that have a lake house near by.

 

I bet that makes for a great weekend! I've camped out there a few times.
