    Hello, from PDX Or.

I just recently bought a 89' T4R. It had alot of work already done to it. It was originally a SR5 V6. One of the previous owners did a chevy 350 swap. And SAS'd it from a 85'. It also has a th350 trans. Np205 t.case. 9-10" lift. 36"Irok super swampers. On mismatching rims. Front wheel lockers. It has a edelbrock 1406 carb. BM ratchet shifter. CB radio. Kenwood 6" speakers in-door. JVC head unit. Which came with a CD stuck in it that just so happens to have every hit "butt rock" single on it . Which is kinda awesome. It has a brushguard. All the glass is good besides a 5" crack in the windshield on passengers side. The rear window works. The carpet was all ripped out. Overall it's a pretty solid 32 year old rig. Some surface rust but nothing major. Its definitely a beast that can burn rubber. I'm planning on doing alot more mods. Newer crate 350, rhinoline interior, body work and paint, replace shocks and leafs, new front seats and aftermarket tube bumpers. I'll definitely keep posting updates as things get done. Hope you guys like the pics.

    Welcome aboard!

I’m amazed the stock Toyota axles are standing up to 36” Iroks and V-8 torque!

    Thanks!

Yeah, it's done well so far. Trucks definitely a beast. The early Toyotas are so strong and bulletproof. It doesnt surprise me too much. But "knock on wood". If I were to swap axles for something stronger for this setup. What would you suggest?

Something with 8-lug axles out of a 3/4 ton truck. Probably an F250 because I believe they have the pumpkin on the correct side.

Awesome man. Thanks for the info. I know the chevy and toyota 8 lugs match up. So maybe a 2500 chevy?

Yes. An early Chevy would work. I was thinking Ford because I thought about SASing my Tundra.

Thanks 36tacundra! Surprisingly it turns really well and theres no rub obviously. I'm located in Oregon. So if you've been in the Pacific northwest, maybe you came across it at some point.

I have a brother in Portland. 2.5 to 3 hours away. We go there once or twice a year. When I get the 4quoia done, definitely have to drive it over.

Most definitely. This truck actually came from the long beach area. I'm having issues with the carb at the moment. But hopefully I'll have it sorted. I'd like to take this beast on a mild trail.
