    Im on 4.56’s.

After seeing how well my buddy did at Windrock in February with his Wildpeak AT3W’s in the snow and crazy slick wet clay, I’m going to give the AT’s a try. Plus, since I’m moving out west in less than a year, MT’s aren’t the greatest for the dry Arizona climate.

Just noticed today that the tire shop ordered C loads When I asked for E loads. Called them about it and they said Toyo doesn’t have these in E load available yet. They didn’t bother to tell me that before hand. After wheeling on the c loads, I am returning them and putting the Firestone’s back on.

Can you tell a difference, like in flex, or all around handling?

What is it about the C loads you don't like? Just curious

They are offered in both. Although since they were just released in March and the whole COVID thing going on there may not be much production or availability right now.

Huge difference. Can’t air down below 20 psi. Truck is much more rolly.

1 trip playing in the rocks and they are useless at 20psi. Tried 15psi and blew a bead.

You know, that’s what i have experienced, and the very reason i use the E load tires. I am on Falken MT’s in the 285/70/17 and have no problems with them, thanks for posting this.

That is interesting. I'm going to keep this in mind the next time I buy tires. I was planning on running 15 PSI in the deep sand on the beach I drive on occasionally. Now, I'm not sure if it's a good idea.

@Trident904 , are you going to try them in load range E?

No, putting the Firestone’s back on. I was a dumbass for going to AT’s anyway. Was a slippery shit show trying to wheel with them.

I'm thinking about getting a second set of wheels and tires just for trail runs and mall crawler shows. I'll probably go load range E so I can air down safely.

I thought about it, but after doing that on one of my Tacomas several years ago, that’s more work than I want to deal with.

I suppose the smart thing to do would be to find an M/T that I could live with as a daily driver, since I'd probably end up leaving them on all summer.

That’s what I did. Love the Firestone MT2’s they just don’t like long hauls on the highway.

It seems that none of the M/T's are great for lots of highway driving. With the way tires keep advancing, though, we might see some that are up to both duties soon.

I will be in the market for tires soon, and initially I was set on the Falken Wildpeaks. I need a tire with a mileage warranty, that performs well, but doesn't break the bank. After reading story after story, about balancing problems with them, I think I am leaning toward these Toyos. They look great, and I am reading good things about them. If anyone is running these now, how are they doing for you? On road manners? How are they holding up?
    Thanks!

5K on mine. Load range C, 285/70/17. I have been more than satisfied with traction on road and off road. They make a slight high pitched sound at higher speeds, but it's not enough to bother me. I didn't get to try them in snow, so I'll have to wait to see how they do there.

I forgot to ask you this before but with 285s, did you have to do any cutting to avoid rubbing?

I have a body mount chop. I did it before the tires because I was having a skid plate made anyway. I'm not sure it's necessary.

I've got 5k on ours, load range E 265/70r17 and they have not even gone through the wear tread yet. Betting these get 50k miles or more.

I've got Nitto Trail Grapplers on my Tundra and very satisfied with them, buddy had a set on a 2500 Ram diesel and took them off at 60k, he went to Toyo AT2 but sent me a picture the other day where he just got a new set of TG again.
