New poster in Canada, glad to find these forums.

Recently purchased a Used 2017 4 Runner Off Road Trim in December. When I purchased the vehicle I inquired about the TRD badging missing off the vehicle as the vehicle had the Premium upgrades.

Sales lady told me this was an Off Road Trim thing compared to the PRO Trim version with badging. Was this correct?

Got everything that the Premium offers that I could research online so just inquiring if this is actually the way the vehicle was sold off the lot or if the last owner, for wahtever reason, removed the badging.

    Any help would be great!

If it is a TRD ORP then the previous owner removed the badges. It's fairly common. I was going to remove mine but sort of decided against it because I see so many others remove theirs. I still like the clean look but so does everyone else.

    Previous owner removed them.

I got a set if you want them sitting in my garage. I can ship them to you if you're willing to pick up the shipping.

Running the VIN should tell you what trim you actually have.

It's possible the Canadian market didn't get the emblems? Incidentally the US market also didn't until 2017... prior to that the current TRD OR was called the Trail, and there was no badging at all.

I appreciate the offer! Although I am good without them, my wife is the driver of the unit and she likes the "clean" look. I was posting for more of a closure on the badging question in the forum.

Thanks for the suggestion, that makes sense I had not thought of.

That could make sense then, the sales lady told me flat out it was a non PRO thing to do by Toyota. But then she also drove a PRO but had no idea that the suspension was different in that vs the stock SR5 on the lot. I at least you tubed the heck out of the 4 runner before buying it based on the models so overall knew what I was looking for.

It's sort of pathetic how a lot of potential buyers know more about what they're shopping for than the dealership 'experts' who should know their product inside & out.

While you're 100% right, at least the enthusiasts make sure to get informed before they go in so they are in control.
