TG 4" springs, Sky crossmember pushed all the way forward, cab mounts chopped for shackle tube placement.

 

The rear axle is complete, TG steering pump kit and steering box installed, front axle is in place. I need to assemble the knuckles and then build the mounts for my hydro assist ram.

The steering is almost finished, I just need to mount the ram and plumb it.
I worked on the 4xinno sliders today, got the legs, frame plates, and gussets welded up on one side and painted it

 

Got more welding and wiring done
Boxed steering stops and bumper brace




0 guage big 3, 4 guage to the factory fuse block, ARB compressor and aux. fuse block installed

 

I tackled the hydro ram mounts today, it came out pretty good. I laid some really nice welds.








I am waiting on fluids and more wire, then I can bleed the steering and get it ready to fire up.

She is almost ready now. I need to pick up a set of brake bleeders for the front, and see if I can get new exhaust run sometime this week or next.

I drove through a typhoon on the way home from my wheeling trip and my front bumper peeled a lot of paint. I'm going to pull it off, strip it and repaint. I still have a lot of lights to mount and wire, too.

 

Some wheeling pics from a few weeks ago.



I starting removing the faded and cracked SR5 stripes. I used a heat gun on a lot of it, but the really dried out vinyl needed a rubber wheel...






New James Dean Creations decals will go on after I clean and polish the paint.

 

I made a 6 hour drive to the Outer Banks, NC. I bought a week OHV permit so I could drive on the beaches in Bodie and Hatteras. Saturday was very windy, the sand blowing and the tent trying to fly off was a little brutal, but well worth the trip.

 

Sunday I met up with some of my VA friends in Corolla. After they headed out, my GF and I explored behind the dunes and found some wild horses.

 

I miss camping on the beach. Used to all the time till Baja got too insane. Truck looks great btw. I like it without the stripes, clean.

 

Thanks Paul. We actually stayed in a hotel, the heat wave has been intense lately but it cooled off nice for the weekend. We would like to camp in the cooler months, maybe this fall or next spring.

I have new stripes from James Dean.. But I messed up one of them and need a replacement. Also waiting on a new front fender

 

Man!!! I kept waiting to find a deal like that. Finally gave in and ordered a new replacement. The shipping cost as much as the fender

 

That's the price for being "Glamorous"!

 

My trip to Rausch Creek was fun. My favorite trails were 13 and Brake Check. I almost flipped end-over going down a steep hill off the J trail, but quick thinking and letting off the clutch and brake let it roll on to all 4. It was intense.

Great pics Andy looks like a fun time. A good friend of mine is moving up to PA in about a month so I'm hoping to make it up and visit and hit Raush sometime before next summer.

 

It was fun, it's a pretty big place. I will probably go back and try some harder trails.

I have been planning on getting a roll cage, and that close call pushed me over the edge. I just ordered a kit from 4xinnovations, full length DOM.


I was told 6-8 weeks out, so I will start the install as soon as I get it and have it ready for Fall wheeling.

 

Holy crap, the cage kit was on my porch the same week of ordering. 4xinno rocks.


Now to strip the interior and put it together.

 

Started on my cage today. I got the A and B pillar floor plates installed, and the A and and B pillars set in place.
