2016 SR5 Premium - all stock, nothing aftermarket that I know of. I've had it a year - bought it with about 38k miles, now has 58k miles. Not long after I got it, I started noticing an irritating squeak/creak in the front end when I go over small humps or dips. We've tried WD-40ing every single spot we thought could be causing it, but to no avail. Also, when I make a sharp lefthand turn, I'm getting a squeal. I'd love to get some suggestions/ideas. I took it back to the dealer but, of course, they couldn't hear it. Would it be possible that the shocks need replaced? Tires still have good tread. I actually looked at getting rid of it because the noise drives me so crazy! And yes, I know I could turn up the radio;)!! Thanks in advance for any help!

Worn LCA aka Lower Control Arm bushings are known to make squeaking sounds. Loose LCA bolts is another. A few ideas to look at. I know my LCA wasn't tight when I had the alignment shop do my alignment. 90-100 ft-lbs don't remember the exact torque amount for those bolts though.

Did you try spraying WD40 on the fender liner clips?

It's surprising the noise they can make at times.

I had this weird subtle squeak coming from the front which sounded like a rubber rub or tire rub. After checking all bushing and front I could not locate any issues. I randomly somehow finally found it! The culprit was steering shaft and firewall rubber boot. I put little silicone lube on that connection and the problem went away. Funny how some sounds travel around the vehicle because I was convinced it came from front suspension. G.L. and good hunting.

Would WD-40 be best? Or would silicone spray be better? Any idea? I have the squeak.

Maybe apples to oranges here, but I had that same type of annoying squeak/squawk on the front of my Tacoma. No amount of lubricating things would help. I finally replaced the LCA bushings - no more squeaks.

Needing that on a 2016 doesn't sound necessary, but no telling how it might have been used by the PO...

I have a squeak from both front corners - checked it out a couple days ago. The source is the lower shock mounts (Radflo), which wear out after about 25-30K miles. They are serviceable and will be fixed. Anyway, if nothing else seems to be the issue, you can remove the lower shock mounting bolt (into the LCA), shake the vehicle a little, and see if the squeak goes away. Obviously, don't drive until you set it back in place.

Quite the thread necro. But since we’re here, I’m gonna guess it was the squeaky hood latch syndrome. It’s brought many to their knees.

Some have spent so much money trying to fix the problem, that much wailing and gnashing of teeth result from finding out it was the hood latch.

Poor OP probably sold the thing after replacing absolutely every last moving part on it. I’m betting this is the most expensive “non-problem” 4runners have.

This website should sell T-shirts with “4runner” on the front and “Did you grease the hood latch?” on the back. :p
