I returned to work last week with a raise. I get another raise in 3 weeks (12%). My comp. from the VA went up 10%. I also had about 3 weeks off prior to returning to work which I got to spend with my two floofers (doggos) also OP glad your biopsy cameback clear.

 

Good to hear your doing well, and your dogs are beautiful. Are they watching animal planet?

 

we were watching Up! When they find the explorer in South America lol. And thank you. Their both a handful but I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Wife and I have noticed that we are both finally getting to some of that stuff/chores/honey-dos we have been putting off. So nice to get things done and off your mind. Plus the house is looking neater and cleaner.

I love the dog posts. I have three. Two Dobermans and one Blue Heeler. This is a great time to adopt a dog because it is so much easier to get them house broken and fully trained if you are home all the time.

I got some work done on my baja bug project yesterday. It has been sitting idle for way too long so this was very motivating to me. Can't wait to play with it some more today while I wait for UPS.

What's the purpose of those butterfly looking things on the roof ribs?

 

My guess is what are referred to as snow breaks. They put those on metal roofs to keep giant chunks of ice/snow from taking out the edge of the roof or the gutters (or people below) by breaking it up near the edge. You'll notice they seem to be right over an entryway to the house.

 

I think they're snow stops.

With my son home alot more now, our father/son sandrail project isn't just a 'father' project.

 

Those are ice breakers. The roof has such a steep pitch. The snow and ice will slide off all at once. There on the garage too, I have 72 total, that was an extra grand to have powder coated and installed...

 

I found $90 laying on the ground at the river!! People all over don’t know where it came from. Thought to myself “I’m Rich Biotch”. Then I asked my friend “did you loose money” he says “yes”......I says “keep that s$&@ in ur wallet mang”!!!

 

Well my new RSG front skid plate and KDSS skid plate arrived today. I immediately went out and pulled the old stuff off. The RSG Front Skid is set up for the addition of a transfer case skid (not yet for sale) so it have a few extra holes and hardware. I gave Jason a call and he walked me through the install on the phone, told me which bolts go where and which holes will remain empty until I get the transfer case skid. After that, install was a breeze. But I did need my daughter to help me hold up the new skid while I started a couple of bolts. My factory skid got smashed and dented on my very first run. It might be my imagination but the RSG skid seems to tuck up a little higher and tighter than the factory skid. Even if it doesn't the most that will happen to it in my kind of wheeling is a scratch or two. This thing is beefy. It's not going to bend in my use.

I ordered a Kraftgun massager back in November of 2019. It FINALLY came today and works great and feels great on sore muscles.

More good news. So yesterday my wife was cooking and mentioned that she got some olive oil on her shirt so she put on an apron. I pointed out that if she took her close off she would not have to worry about getting anything on them. Next thing I know, she was wearing nothing but an apron. It was a good day to be quarantined.

 

And nine months later.....

 

Haha. That’s a hard no. Only babies from here on out will be grand babies. We hope.

 

My Wife and I didn't have kids but, we got a bunch of Nefs & Neices w/kids. Lately we've only been seeing them on FT & FB, been saving $$ tho.
And that's a good thing.

 

Ordered SDHQ ditch mounts brackets and some KC LZR lights, as well as SDHQ ABS sensor protectors.
Gotta keep busy.

I had a very productive and fun day at work! I know right now, more than ever, that is not something to be taken for granted.

 

Well I have a few more things of personal good news. I have a 1990 Porsche Carrera 2 (which is pretty darn good news by itself) in which my son and I got rear ended in early February. We were not hurt but of course the car got a bit banged up. I decided to use this opportunity to get the WHOLE car fixed up and repainted. The shop that I chose finally called me yesterday and told me they would be ready for me to drop off the car this week. This is something that I have wanted to do for a couple of years and have spent too many nights thinking about so to finally be getting it done is pretty exciting.

I believe the car will be gone for at least two months but probably more. I am going to use this time to finish up the drywall and paint in the garage so it comes back to a nicer place.

Also, I mentioned above that my daughter is getting married in June. Well, that is for sure still on but with only ten folks. Today she officially moved the big wedding celebration from this June to June of 2021 and it was like a huge weight lifted off of all of us. No more question of whether or not it was going to happen this year. Now we know.

Everyone in my family is HEALTHY.
