I have been hovering about 17.1-17.2 MPG

I dont have the heavy foot I did in my Tacoma(stupid noisy CAI) and as my brother pointed out, I now drive a "Dadvan" cant argue because I do have offspring

I am getting around 17-17.5 after the supercharger. Before I was getting around 18.5ish. I have stock gearing pushing 33s. Most of my miles are freeway and I cruise at around 67-69. What your getting is about average for these. Elevation can have an effect in your mileage as well as the grade of gas your using.

I know elevation has an effect on mileage but grade I'm pretty sure has been debunked to prove no effect on mileage unless the engine is tuned for the greater octane

Hmmmm I notice a difference when i use different grades. I have a pretty set driving pattern and so i can properly test it. When I use 91 octane i get around 18.5ish. When use 87-89 i am getting around 16.5-17.5. I have tested this in two different vehicles using the same GPS to clock mileage. I calculated down to the cost per mile and it proved that higher octane produce a little better mileage. Our trucks are tuned for 87 mid grade, using above that some say is a waste but the difference between filling premium and midgrade is like 4 dollars and produces better mileage for myself at least.

    Hey now,

Was this not one of the topics what we are going to talk about that was covered 50,000 times on other sites? :annoyed:

In the end we all would like better gas mileage but we didn't buy them for that now did we.

    Moving on now.... :duel:

I get around 18-19 in the 4th gen and, so far ( only 500 miles on it), a little over 19 on the 2014. Of course I wish it were better but it is what it is.

doing all highway in the mountains of PA on I-80 (lots of O/D off situations), I manage 21.6 with the A/C on. I was very pleased. Usually with my mixed city/hwy i get around 19. No complaints on either.

We just completed a 5500 mile trip. Totally loaded with luggage and 3sets of golf clubs. Avg'd 20.6 mpg driving speed limit (70,75&80) Pulled a 5x8 uhaul cargo trailer (single axle) for 1900 of the miles, mileage dropped to 16.5. 4runner did great!!

2015 SR5 mine shows 20.5 mpg. I'm not heavy on the gas pedal and still under a 1000 miles.

Anymore I get aorund 19.5-21.2, depending on how much city driving I do. I spend a lot of time on the highway with cruise control on these days.

that sounds like infinite mpg's to me. Your 4Runner needs you though. Time to burn off some gas in that big V8.
